Alpine is well worth the trip. It is by far my favorite place i've seen a show. It is just an amazing venue, the fans are always great there. Dave even says after tripping billies. "Im not sure exactly why, but ah everytime we get back to this building i gotta say this is our favorite place to play."

5/19/02 - I was talking with some guy earlier in the day. He asked the one song i wanted to hear i said seek up and i get it as and opener. All around great show.
8/6/02 - say goodbye
Probably my favorite
8/31/02 - stir it up, when those bass lines started and the crowd started singing, it just couldnt get any better. Then carter joins and and dave comes upto the mic..."its been a long time..."

My favorite shows I have been to:
Nashville....7/25/01 With Bela Fleck and the Lovely Ladies! Such a cool show
MSG...12/21/02 I have to include this one because of the uniqueness of the audience and the Halloween encore....oh yeah...James Brown and the confetti machines were cool too.
Dave and Tim....3/28/03 Winston Salem....best crowd! Very respectful. And this is my favorite setlist from the series.

I am in the lawn both nights. This was all that was available when I purchased the tickets through ticketmaster recently.
But that is OK, because we will have the best time! I can't believe I am going to the opener of this tour...and KOCO! How cool is that?
I will practically be closing the tour too...I am going to Nashville (Antioch)...next to last show in September.
You know, you should travel to Tennessee sometime. Almost always Bela shows up there!

Section 104....it was to the left to the left of the stage...but not TOO FAR left. 104 is the center section, not floor, yet not nosebleed. I loved our seats. I felt close.

One of my friends is goin to the Bahamas right before we go to UMB Bank Pavilion in Missouri to see DMB, and today he tells me "you might need to come pick me up at the airport in St Louis." i was like whaaaattt? I don't know about that one.

well, i've done a little updating of the KOCO list. most likely in the near future i'll separate the supply list and create a KOCO contact list. but i'm not feeling like doing that now. maybe tomorrow when i'm doing nothing at school.
i found a nice protable, propane, George Foreman Grill i think i might pick up in a week or two. i'll wait to see if it goes on sale. damn this is coming sooner then i thought.
i just bought two tickets to the first night at alpine, and i don't really know why, because i'm not sure if i can sell them to anyone yet. oops!

EDIT: yeah it's a little messed up, but until i redo it, you can still figure it out. once i get all of the info filled it, that problem should be fixed, and i can also just email it to everyone.

Greets, add my name to the people going to the Columbus show. Never been to Columbus... or Ohio for that matter. I have been hopping around the message boards trying to see who was going to the show. Obviously I found the right thread.
Anyways, I am a long time DMB listener yet I never got active in any of the forums. Well, time to change that. Figure best way is to give an intro.
Quick intro:
Greets, I am Wes. I'm 23, live in Austin, Tx (attend UT), and I am flying up to see the show (I think this will be show #15). I am big fan of all sports, long time Blue Man Group fan and Tivo owner. Also if anyone think they can beat me at NBA Street 2, Fifa 2002, or a Texas Hold'em poker game, you have found competition. In all the several webpages I made, try the Sifl & Olly one (url at sig)
Humor contribution:
http://wonderzone.alluvium.com/chef
- Video clips from the old French chef on muppets tonight.
Anyways, in my brief stay in Columbus, I hope to get to meet some people on this list. I hope the meeting goes well to where I am buying you a drink too.

I don't know what I want to hear as an opener or at any time during the show. I've been lucky enough during my short 4 show career to get some great songs/shows. And if I could only figure out how to list my Tour Stats on here. Anyone offer some help for me?

As far as never heard... I'm hopin for a Typical Situation... big time. That would kick so much ass. Damn! I'd also like to hear a Minarets, but it's doubtful. Same with Last Stop, I guess. Those are the big 3 i've never seen.
As far as what i've already seen... I'd like to see Two Step again, only saw it once back on 6/20 at Polaris, I'd like to see Best of What's Around, same with Two Step, and a Seek Up would be very nice.
Anything will be nice basically....

Yup 100 here I come.
But I'd like to hear a full band Two Step, or maybe a Seek Up. Halloween would be nice so all the hippies would quit screaming it at Riverbend.
It would have been nice to hear PFWYG for a bday present at Oxford but I can't complain about that show.

alright, i got online early tonight so i could actually talk to you all and not just post by myself, but looks like i got to wrapped up in other stuff that you've all called it a night.
here are my posts for the night:
the kid i met who got busted for underage consumption was in the parking lot. on the road where the KOCO will be, there are no cops, only the parking lot attendents. also, i believe it's entrance B.
i think listening to a little boyd before the show would be a perfect mood setting. unless maybe boyd sold out and is now using an electric violin. sorry, i just had to throw that in there, lol.
also, steph came up with a very good idea in regards to the food situation at the KOCO, but i'll get into that later.
maybe i'll be back tonight, maybe not. we'll see...

I had a dream while I was sleeping in that I went to a DMB show with steph, and when we went in, we had like second row seats, and it was this really small place, and we went to our seats but they werent there. So we went to talk to the box office, and we didnt get to see the show, cause they didnt have any more seats or something. Damn, I was fuckign pissed. Then me and my girlfriend and 2 other people drove down to Panama City Beach.
Then i woke up and i was like... wtf?

i always have weird dmb dreams the night before i'm goin to a show.... the night before the last show i went to(12-17) i had a strange one.... well, my group and i get to the concert, and it's outdoors.... in december.... well, we end up with front row seats and then the band comes out... they start playin and all of a sudden, the stage starts drifting away... so pretty soon the stage is gone so everyone leaves very dissapointed.... well, we get back to the hotel we were at and turn the t.v. on, and there is dmb playin on t.v. , and we were kinda surpirsed and happy, till we realized that was the concert we were suppose to be at... then we were very bummed..... anything after that i dont remember, but i do remember waking up and thinking that i missed the show, and that really scared me for a moment

I'm kinda freaked out now.

that was a dirty joke your friends played on you...... dreams are so crazy.... especially the ones where you wake up, and say 'what the fuck is going on in my head? why am i dreaming this crazy stuff?'.... i have had some very very strange dreams lately.... the craziest ones are when you think that whatever happened during the deam is real life , and you wake up all nervous and kinda sad(depending on the dream) till you realize it was a dream..... weird

:lol :lol .... you got mad at her cuz of your dream? that's great.... i had a dream that a friend of mine cut my foot off in the middle of a corn field..... she ran away with it and left me alone to hobble around.... and all i could think about was how i wouldn't be able to play hockey anymore, and that was really depressing.... untill i woke up and saw 2 feet... then i let out a huge sigh of relief:D

ah yes, I'll be seeing Matrix probably the Monday before it comes out. if anyone is willing to drive to Maumee, i can take one guest to the screening. assuming that my girlfriends doesn't want to see the screening, i will take the highest bidder :lol

oh yeah, i almost forgot...
she suggested that everyone be resposible for their own grilling items. the more i think about this, the more it makes sense. if everyone brings there own stuff we don't have to worry about there being too much left over or not enough. people could still bring extra stuff to cook for those who can't bring anything or for people who just show up. also, everyone has their own taste... maybe some wants a hot dog, maybe someone wants a burger, and who knows someone might want to make some salmon :lol anyways, this seems to make perfect sense to me. all that would leave to provide would be snacks, condiments, plasticware, napkins, etc. not sure how we should do the drink situation yet. since not everyone will be 21, that could pose problems if we don't deal with that situation appropriately.

sounds like a good idea to me.... would it be easier if everyone brought there own stuff? for example, everyone bring one of each : 6 or 12 pack of soda(beer, whatever you want), whatever your gonna eat on the grill, some sort of snack, and anything else i forgot... and we can just combine everything and not have to worry about it

it seems like that's the most logical idea. of course, anyone can bring more, and we'll most likely have to share grills. other then that, i think supply our own things and just grilling out together will be cool enough.

Ahhh!!! I'm finally home after a 15 hour day of school and work.
Count my vote for #2 as well.
As for the cook out, I had planned on bringing a couple of burgers for myself and then some hot dogs b/c there is always room for a dog. And of course I'll have a couple beers for myself and then plenty for afterwards.
Start of the 3rd Period, bring it on Anaheim.
Fuck the stripes. Where do they get these guys, the NFL or something???

Mike! Good grief! I am sorry to hear that about you and your girl....think there's any chance of reconciliation?
I know what that's all about....I was in a relationship for 3 1/2 years at one time....and it was broken off. And it was so weird not being around someone that you were so used to being around all the time for so long!
Anyway...not to dwell...just letting you know that I sympathize with you.

How was it?
And hey, if you want to sell me one of those Matrix posters, I would love one. We could make the transaction at the Mraz show if you wanted to.

thank you for the concern, but truthfully, i think it was the right time to end it. it felt like the relationship had run its course, and it was time to move on. i am not as upset as i thought i would be:)

Well, I think that it would be safe to say that Banner #2 has won:
'the offilical antsmarching.org kick off cookout. don't settle for anything less , cuz we've got the best of what's around'
and I really liked the design that Ryan came up
So, I will copy that design and be working on the banner when I get some free time in the next couple of weeks.

Watch it from begining to end and then thnk about what you just experienced. Trust me on this one! THere is absolute no reason to see bits and pieces of Benaroya its not like a dmb show or Dave and Tim show where its great to share some moments until the dvd comes out.. Benaroya is truly unique and I honestly believe you will never see anything like it again. It just deserves full attention and needs to be watched from begining to end. Thats my perspective on Benaroya and the best advice I can offer.

Yes, the newer stores are a lot nicer then the Springdale one. What the GM doesn't understand is that he isn't in Corporate Wisconsin anymore, he's in ghetto ass Cincinnati.

soryr i'm late, i was at a local high school's production of Les Miserables. by far one of the most amazing musical performances i've seen put on by a school or professionally. i didn't think i'd ever see a high school do that show, but when you've got money and talented kids, i guess it's possible.

he didn't make the final cut...but he was on the first episoda, and i think maybe a few after. he was asked to come out to hollywood, and i'm not sure when he got cut after that. his name is michael craig. he sang "what's going on" at the detroit audition, which they aired on tv.
