alright...my tour plans, as expected, have most likely changed. i'm thinking i might hit up Darien Lake...it's only 5 hours away and it's got an amusement park calling my name, lol

here's what i think i could pull off this summer:

2 nights at Deer Creek, then to Polaris (i could either go there straight from Deer Creek, or come home for a day), then home for a while, then off to Toronto, then back home for a while, then off to Darien Lake, then home for abuot a month, then off to Alpine. that would be 8 shows, but i think they're spread out enough that i could actually pull it off

i would say that i kind of like riverbend a little better than polaris. 1. riverbend doesn't have that stupid sound ordinance, which means you can hear a lot better, 2. you're a lot closer on the lawn than you really can be at polaris, which i think creates a more intimate setting (plus the screens are right there in front of you so you don't have to look all the way up), and 3. what a cool setting, an amphitheater with a river running behind it? that just looks so cool. not to say that i don't like polaris but i think riverbend has it's pluses. never understood why people don't really like riverbend.

Riverbend is great as long as you stay away from the lawn. Seeing the stage from the front of the lawn is a problem because of the way the pavillion seats are set up. It's difficult to explain, but I'll try to draw it out...

As you can see from the realistic, to-scale diagram, the lawn at Riverbend begins below the pavillion seats by about 3 feet. So if you're against the rail, seeing the stage is impossible unless you're 14 feet tall, which Jon, you're not.

pcc is totally crazy from what i hear. one of my good friends is in it, and she has to go teach down in the east side of toledo. youre there all day, and ive heard some pretty scary stories. but, you get to live in kohl hall, which defintely is one of the best dorms to live in b/c they just renovated it, the rooms are big and theres loftable furniture. as for mac, if you live there next year, you have to be in the bg experience, which is a crazy cult, but you get to move in early. id stay away from it, but its up to you. the food sucks at mac too. its defintely the freshman dorm, and youll get the college experience there, if thats what youre going for. but either of the other quads arent bad, and the one where i live has good food (kreischer). sorry for writing a book, but hope its helpful... :)

I've been kinda against the whole PCC thing from the start. I just feel like it'd be too much of my time or that I'd only be hanging out with other students in PCC. I'm not an extreme partier, but I do like to have fun sometimes. I don't know..we'll see I guess. Thanks though...I hated asking stuff when I went on to visit because they gave me the fakest answers.

Haha we did last September. It was our last ride just before they closed. We waited an hour and a half in line, then as soon as we got to the gates it started having trouble getting over the top. We had to wait another hour and half while they figured everything out. I guess it was too cold for it to run properly, so they had to leave the last few rows empty to reduce the weight. Our cart didn't make it over the first time either, so we got a double dose of it. :)

ooh i always was nervous that would happen to me. ive waited in line for that thing once for 2 and a half hours only to have it break down...and the time i actually got to ride we waited for 2 hours and it broke down for a half hour...i like the ride though because at any given time i bet half the park is in line for it :)

Got to ride top thrill dragster after a two hour wait in May during the first week it opened. They had the ride closed for the first 3 hours to film a commercial so we waited till the afternoon. My favorite is still the Millennium!

If blossom was on a weekend of course. If Central Park was on a weekend I would have been there too. Of course seeing the show live through the AOL trial was relaxing. I will be going to both Polaris shows and thanks to OT from work I may spring for the good seats both days.

i honestly don't think i look my age. i went to the MGM Grand last thursday and i'm pretty sure they thought my ID was fake. they stopped me, and pulled me to the side, and finally let me in. i'm still thinking the guy at the door of the bar knows me or something. who knows though
