Yeah, thats my view on it. Some of them are family and it doesn't bother me if they dont go b/c I'll eventually see them soon enough to rag on them. But there are some friends that just dont have it all together to be there on a set day for a set time. So we'll see. As long as security isn't as retarded at Polaris then it was at Oxford it will be all good. Especially since I just bought me a nice digital camera before I leave Best Buy shortly.

Well it's been a long day and I'm ready for it to end so I can finally head to bed. But I was lazy tonight and didn't go out so hopefully some others will bring us back on top tonight.

damn, i just got back from 3.5 hours of ultimate frisbee. only two visits from the cops, apparantly we were two loud. they don't really care, but they were only doing their jobs. we moved places after their first visit, then went back to our original spot after the second visit at which point he told us "i'll call dispatch and let them know you're gonna finish your game." then we went back to our original game, and one of the cops passed up, flashed his lights, and kept on going. i love knowing all the cops and the fact that they're all cool...except the female cops, what's with that?

security at polaris is exactly tight, but it is there. it takes a little planning to get cameras in, but for the most part once you get one in you're set.

I have a question that maybe someone can help me with. I just started getting into collecting and trading live shows. And it has become quite addictive...

Anyway, I have been getting shows in audio form. I realize that a lot of people like shn format. A girl sent me an extra disc in this format. How do you listen to it? I know I am a complete moron, but I am clueless. I put the disc in the computer and tried to open it using a media player, and it didn't work.

Please help a clueless girl....and try not to laugh too hard at my foolishness!

you can play them on your computer, the shn format just makes it easier to fit more songs onto one disc, so if your trading it saves discs and postage. You take the files off of the disc, convert them to wav, and burn them to a disc.

You're not kidding. I started collecting about a year and half ago and I'm up to like 128 shows. It's been awhile since I've actually done some trading so it could be a lot higher then that. Although I would like to get my hands on some D&T shows but haven't had any time to.

I just got through listening to the concert at Radio City and the crowd there is so annoying! I guess I was one of the lucky ones to be able to experience Dave and Tim with a respectful crowd.

I just thought I'd let everyone know that I had the chance yesterday at work to get a copy of the Martix Soundtrack early. Too bad my job is loss prevention and it wouldn't be good if I was busted taking a copy of it. Although I would have left a 20 spot as a deposit, they would like to use that as a reason to get rid of me.
But it was funny because the guy pricing them is very Anti-DMB and was talking trash about how there is 1 song that doesn't belong on it. Too bad he's got bad taste in music.
Oh and has anyone heard this remix yet, I'd like to know how it sounds.

Damn all of you. I've tried to learn how to play but when it comes to it, I'm a leftie and I just couldnt teach myself. I'm weird like that, I play baseball, golf, basketball right handed. But when I play hockey and putt I'm a leftie. So until I can find someone left handed like myself to teach me then I'm stuck.

OK....maybe I am still a complete idiot. For those of you that deal with shn format:

When you put the disc in the computer does it automatically play? Mine is saying that the format is not supported. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I tried using Winamp and Windows Media Player...and no luck. :confused:

it just so happens that i am also left-handed. i do everything left-handed, but for some reason, i have always played guitar right-handed; it just feels natural to me. give it another try! if not, i'll be glad to show you a few things at KOCO!

Yeah I am left handed but play guitar right handed, it has helped out having my good hand fingering, but it felt a tad bit ackward at first, but now it feels natural.

I tried and I think that is the hardest song John plays. But this is interesting because I am 14 and I was playing guitar with a 12 year old and he can play most of it. I was so amazed and all I could think is that this kid is 12 and he can play so good. He has a lot of talent. Some of you might of heard of his dad. His name is Steve Fireovid. Haha, just kidding, you guys probably play better with your non-dominant hand than I do with my dominant hand. I wish I would stick with it... I'll play during all my spare time for a week or two, start in on a few songs, get em down pretty good, then just kinda stop. Then a few months later, start it all over again.

Hey, J2H, maybe since you work at a movie theater you can answer this. My friends and I were gonna go see Matrix Reloaded at Midnight on the 15th, but there aren't any midnight showings at our theaters. There are 10:00 pm showings on the 14th. Are they allowed to do that, since the movie is technically supposed to be released on Thursday? Just curious, cause I don't wanna like buy my ticket then have them cancel the show or anything.

I have a question...I got a B+P from someone that was a vcd and it would not play in my dvd player....even though the guy said that it would. Is he wrong? Is it supposed to be able to play in the DVD player?

i've actually burnt vcd's onto a cd-r and had them work fine in my dvd player. you just have to own a dvd player that is mp3 compatible for it to work.

Well, I'm up early because of my final at 8 this morning, but the good news is I didn't have to take it. My prof. has to go out of town, so she wanted to leave and said the final was optional, but could help/hurt your grade. I had a middle B, so no chance of helping, so I said screw it.

I bought a wooden shelf thing that sits on the floor and stands about 4 feet....it is a media storage shelving unit. I bought it at Big Lots for $19.00.

Then I put my CD's in slim cases and store them in order. I usually print out a case insert listing the show date, venue, and setlist. Like coverart, but not that fancy.
