Bt.etree is a BitTorrent upload/download site where people share shows. There are two types of people there: seeders (who have the show and set it up for download) and leechers (who latch onto a show and download it while sharing it with other leechers). I guess I'm just asking someone to host/seed 6/24 for a few hours so I can finish downloading it, and then I'll leave my window open so that the people who come in behind me can finish.

I just had a couple questions. I have never been to Polaris and looked at the venue website. It states that there is no tailgating including that there will be arrests for anyone that has alcohol in the venue lot? Their website also says no grilling. My question is, Do they enforce this? Is their tailgating allowed??

Also, how is the venue? How is the parking lot getting out of the show? It there good sound quality there (not like the World Theatre)?

Glad to see our expected 2-night stand once again this year.

To answer the two ants who just asked questions, I will state this. I can almost guaruntee that there will be one of us willing to show you around and take you under our wing for your first visit to Polaris (none of us old-timers will ever call it by that evil "G" word). That's what we're all about, spreading the love and making sure everyone has the best experience possible.

As for the tailgaiting question, that unfortunately is all true. However, in all the years I've been going to shows at Polaris, I've always found ways around those rules. We arrive early to the show...early as in before the parking lot opens...and we park on the service road leading up to the parking lot gates and grill-out and have a few beverages that way. We're there before anyone else really gets there, and they don't seem to care too much about us doing that. Once you get into the parking lot, they're pretty adament about shooing you right into the amphitheatre once the doors open. As you can see, there are ways we have always been able to get around things at Polaris.

As for the sound, I've never had any complaints personally and can't think of anyone who I know who has ever had a complaint. It's pretty much your cookie-cutter of an amphitheatre, so if you've ever been to Noblesville, Star-Lake, or and similar venue, is comparable.

Hopefully this info has helped you out. Feel free to PM me if you have anymore questions, and if you do end up going, hopefully you can meet up with us to tailgait before the shows.

Thanks for your help. I already was planning on hitting Cedar point that week, so I wouldn't mind catching a show.

Deer Creek used to be great for tailgating, but now they they have these people on golf carts harass you to go to the gates before they even open! I know Ohio cops are very strict too, I have never seen more cops on the expressway in Ohio.

Yeah, pretty much anywhere on the lawn is a good spot. I can always be found holding down my spot front and center on the lawn. In six years I've never been anywhere other than that spot, except for the time in 2000 I was upgraded.

ohio is one of the busiest states as far as traffic goes, so if you are going to speed you better be careful. just a warning.

i must say i disagree totally with this post. i'm not starting the whole BG/UT fight again, but i think as a whole, blossom is a shithole compared to Polaris. i've been to both venue several times each, and there's not really one part of blossom that i can say is better than Polaris. but of course, that's just my opinion.

Also I'll make sure not to call it the evil "G" word, because here in Massachusetts, the same situation is occuring. Currently our venue is the Tweeter Center, however, the original name was Greatwoods. We should continue to honor these venue's TRUE names.

my answer prolly wont be very helpful because im exhausted, but heres my take on it.

ive been to blossom before, but not deer creek...polaris vs blossom...polaris wins hands down. ive sat lawn at both places, and in the pavilion at blossom once. i always sit lawn at polaris, but it never feels like im miles away from the band. when i sat lawn at blossom it felt like i wasnt even at the concert. the way its setup, from the lawn, the way the roof of the pavilion hangs you cant even see. at polaris youre still right a part of it, and almost anyone can see at least. but really thats not the important thing. to me the crowd sucks at blossom. both times i was there i just didnt feel it i guess. oh well. i dont think any of this made sense, ill prolly have to edit this tomarrow.
