yeah its better than absolutely nothing. i had planned on giving copies to friends and co-workers, but there is no way i'll distribute a shitty recording. i gave a copy to my cousin who i went to the show and that's it. however there is a great version of night one out (no seek up though)

yeah, sometimes you just have to take what is out there...at this point, I relaly don't expect another recording of night two to come out

Been great! I hope this will be one great show. I enjoyed the '05 stop! Especially the seek up. I hoping for a full 40 this year with possible another rarity. Maybe a Halloween chant like the one at Red Rocks. Unfortunately, Dave won't hear me from the lawn.

I made a "#40" sign at Polaris in 2000. And it worked! That was of course the year the Warehouse upgraded me to front row, so I know they saw it, haha. We'll just have to make sure we find someone who gets upgraded them and supply them with a marker and paper...

Alright...I'm sick of the Germain/Polaris thread...time for straight ole' Polaris...the way it should be. This is my first year at this venue. I almost went last summer, as I posted in here awhile ago. (Under my old username "Herrminator")
I just need some information/help. I know that there is a no tailgating policy. Which sucks, but I've also heard Polaris has always been a great show. How's the security for the shows? (Esp. the lawn. I got Warhouse Preffered Lawn) Smoking, etc? :lol
Also does anyone know of any public transportation in the Columbus area to the amphitheartre? I am at OSU and needs to find a way to the show. We have a lot of people, so public transportation would be the best idea. We have a couple of cars, but then again we don't want to waste a lot of gas. I'm not sure if the COTA Express shuttle goes over there during the night/late night.
Thanks for any help you can give me in advance! :thumbsup

There is a no tailgating policy, but we have our way of getting around that every year. Since we usually have lawn and want to get there first, we show up at the paking lot gates 2 hours prior to them opening and we tailgate there for 2 hours. It's not technically the amphitheatre's street, so they can't stop us, nor have they ever tried. I don't smoke, but security isn't all that strict once you get past the gates, so I wouldn't be too worried about that. I'm not too sure about the public transportation, but I've got friends down at OSU and in the area, so I will get back to you on that one...

Thanks a lot! Should be some good help. And thank you for trying to help me with this transportation debacle. I know their is a Polaris Express for COTA...but I think it only does one morning shuttle and one rush-hour shuttle. Just for workers and such. But I could be wrong.

Yeah, I didn't notice you went to OSU until after I sent that message. I'd imagine you'd probably be right. I'm gonna still look into whether they run anything on concert days or not, but I will definately keep you posted.

Alright, I got in touch with the folks at the amphitheater and they just referred me to the COTA website to check out the routes. They said there is a stop close to the amphitheater. Here's the link, the streets and such will probably mean more to you than they do to me. I can get around Cbus fine, but don't ask me for street names, I'm a guy who goes by landmarks, haha...

Yeah they are playing today for apart of the student's free concert. We have him headlining it, Jurassic 5 as other headliner. Teddy Geiger is playing and two other local bands. It's for free with an OSU ID. But each person can bring a guest...so I'm willing to add a guest if anyone wants in. Show starts around 4:00 I believe in the South Oval...rain or shine...should be interesting.

It was an awesome show! They pulled out old songs and played some new ones from the new Feedback album. They put on an awesome show. (as you can tell from antsmarching's homepage; they talked about collaborating with Dave.) Other than that at the end they came out and shook our hands and my friend and I were able to grab the set list off of one of the guys. It was an awesome time!
We stayed for the first song of Jason Mraz...I wasn't too impressed with him. I loved his band, but his voice annoyed me after some time. (Trying to scat too much) I was also tired at this point, so that very well could have influenced my opinion. A lot of the other people were jammin' out to him though. Overall a good time though.

In other news, we checked the COTA webpage. Looks like the only COTA Express shuttle goes over there in the morning and night, once. It's like there rush hour shuttle for commuters to work...oh well!
We are thinking we might just get a couple people who can drive over, and others will take a Taxi Cab from campus on over. Should only be a couple bucks. I believe it was like $20.00 for me to get from Port Columbus Airport to campus. I'd assume it's about the same distance/time. It'll all work out though. I'm real excited to take in DMB at a new venue. And this will be one of my first shows earlier on in the tour dates. Then a month later I'll have my two Fenway shows...so looks to be good....How are things on your end Jonnie?

I probably should book our hotel for the night, but I'm pretty sure that's no going to be a problem.
In case anyone is wondering, looks like if the lot opens two hours before the gate, and I'm assuming that the gates are at 7, lots are at 5, we'll probably be camped out around 3 or so to get our tailgate on...

If it wasn't for my 89 cent poncho from Target, I woulda gotten soaked! Last year I was definitely drenched after N2. I was cold, though, more than wet. And there were girls out there wearing next to nothing that looked fine.

I got owned by the rain. I was in Warehouse Prefered View of the lawn. I got absolutely soaked. Had a great time though. Esp. after JTR the rain stopped and then Dave commented and went into Lie Into Our Graves. Awesome choice. :thumbsup Hope everyone else had a good time. Too bad we couldn't hear Sister. DMB was definately making a statement to Germain for making them pay fees last year. BOOOO GERMAIN!!! If it was Polaris, like it should be, then they would've done a normal one. Oh well...always next year!!! :multi AND FENWAY!!!!
