This thread is a little long, so my apologies for asking what I am sure is a repeat question...

Four of us are driving down from Mt. Pleasant, MI for both of the nights and we want to camp. We have looked through Google's results for campsites near (or not so near, as it has turned out) Columbus and I guess we don't really know which one to contact.

I assume that at least one of you scouring this thread will know information about the best campgrounds in the Columbus area. If you could shed some light on our best option, I would really appreciate that.

Thanks,
Josh

We'll see how things go. Ducks are done now and will be well rested and prepared come Saturday May 31st. Devils will be tired and feeling old by that point. And it isn't like the East has anything tough for the Devil's to play.
And in three weeks when it's all over, just think, only 5 short months and the season starts back up again.

east doesn't have anything tough for the devils? the senators are one of the best teams in the league, and in case you haven't noticed, that series is a doozie.... yeah the ducks will be rested and the devils may be a little tired, but the devils have been through this and won it twice before.... only a handful of players on the ducks have even made it this far in the playoffs.... but that doesn't make too much of a difference.... i'm just anxcious to see if the ducks can pull it off.... god i hope not .... i cant wait for next season's playoffs.... a redemption year for the wings

DMBdude79
05-18-2003, 12:16 AM
The Ducks obviously aren't one to be messed with this year. To recap, the Ducks shut-out the defending champs which of in itself could be a simple task. But to then knock off the #1 ranked team in the division, yet alone the the entire league, isn't a fluke. Jiggy and the "rest of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks" as he puts it are ready for each and every single game that is placed before them. The Devils are very "experienced" and have yet to actually advance to the finals so we will see how they perform. It doesn't take a lot of playoff or finals experience to actually make it to the finals, as the Ducks have proved. And I cannot and willnot let the Mike Babcock connection let me down at this point. All I've got to say is:
"QUACK QUACK QUACK"

rockyracoon
05-18-2003, 12:30 AM
i'm kind of gettin ahead of myself here... the devils need to finish off the sens before i start talkin about the finals.... thanks for reminding me of that so i wont jinx them more than i already have.... but if the ducks somehow manage to win the stanley cup, i will be shocked.... absolutely shocked.... i just don't see it happening.... but, i didn't see them getting past the wings either, and the stars for that matter.... i just dont want them to win.... i hate 1 year wonders, and i'm almost certain that this team will be one.... but we'll have to wait for next year to find that out

I've heard so much about that show. Maybe one of these days I will get around to trading for that. But I must recommend the Weaver copy of 3-31 because it is the best sounding one out there. And I still cannot get over that incredible birthday present of having Dave and Tim playing.

so in case any of you care to know, Matrix Reloaded was the second biggest opening weekend for a movie ever. Spiderman still holds the top spot bringing in $114.8 million, while the Matrix Reloaded brought in $91.8 million. for such a shitty movie, Spiderman should never have made all the money it did. tobey maguire is probably the worst pick for an action flick in the history of movies. plus he's being a puss and might not come back to do the sequel. i'll proudly admit i only watched spiderman to see Kirsten...mmmmm

random story of the day:

so it's senior week at the high school here in town. apparantly the seniors thought it would be cool to drive around and shoot paintballs at buildings, cars, etc. of course, the dumbfucks shoot a paintball through the window of some girls car in totally mess up her face. i realy hate how stupid some people are. not only that, but since they've been doing shit to the high school all weekend, the cops aren't letting anyone on school grounds at 9pm and they are stopping every car that goes past the school. this sucks because the high school is where we always play ultimate.

i did drive through the school just to see if anything was going on, and io got stopped by the cops. they all know me, so they joked around with me for a bit, then let me on my way. i'm so glad i work where i do because i've got it in with all the cops...

Trust me, it was a hard decision. I actually ran a yellow light as Ottawa scored their first goal as she was following behind me and had to stop. It's a good thing she knew where the movie theatre was.

Hey-

My friend and I are returning to Polaris this year and we were wondering what is happening before the show. We were novice last year and we showed up at 6:30 and saw herds of people listening to Dave and eating and drinking in the parking lot. What sort of stuff is going down this year? We are out-of-staters and staying at a local (if that's what you want to call it) campground.

Just wondering if there was anything big.

Not too lively here tonight. I just got back from seeing Matrix Reloaded, yeah I know I'm a little slow getting to the theater. But I had to wait on a friend that hadn't even seen the first one before we could see the second. I was impressed with it though. come on now guys.... this series isn't over yet.... yes the odds are against them, but if they can steal one tomorrow, and then bring it back to the palace and win another one, this is a brand new series.... if they win tomorrow, they will win again at the palace.... but they just have to concentrate on winning a game before they can think about 2, or 3, or 4

Since we are talking about series. Those damn Devils are glad I had to work or else Ottawa would have heard me here in West Chester cheering them on. It's quite interesting how the Finals will play off. It's a good thing I don't have to work for the first 2 games because I'm going to be pumped and incoherent afterwards.

We might have to carry this argument into KOCO once it is all said and done. The Ducks obviously have some hidden and unknown skill/talent. Look for some unexpected names to finally break out and actually help the team.

yes they do have some talent... kariya, thomas, neidermayer, ruuchin, carney.... and some good young talent as well with chistov, krog, sauer..... but you and i both know that the only reason they are playing for the cup is because of jean sebastian giguere.... and i just do not see them beating the devils.... not with marty brodeur in net.... it's just not going to happen

How often has Brodeur shown that he isn't what he used to be? Anahiem the only thing they have to do is break the seal and score 1, just as NJ will do, only with a lot more tired of legs then the Ducks. Anahiem will not play dirty as the Devils have learned to do to make up for the lost talent and gained age of the team. Besides, "the Flying V," look out it's coming.

:lol :lol :lol .

And screw that damned Queen song, they don't need it.

damn... i forgot all about the flying v!.... the devils are fucked now.... the ducks have been off for nearly two weeks, and i dont see that as much of an advantage simply because they haven't been playing in games that mean anything... they will come out a little flat.... but if you're trying to tell me that anaheim is a more talented team than new jersey i will tell you that you are crazy... talent will only take you so far though, check detroit and dallas.... bordeur is just as good as he used to be... he had his 4th 40 win season, and is an mvp candidate.... when giguere does that, let me know cuz then i will compare him to brodeur

Hey everybody, long time reader, first post on the thread,
This KOCO idea seems to be coming together pretty well and my buddy and I may have to hit it up. We are staying at the Wingate and I don't think we can check in until 3. We'll be walking over since it is like a five min walk so we'll stop by if we get over there early enough. I just wanted to throw the thread some love.

I will try my best, my personal concern is if you guys get there at like 2:00 and cook-out for a couple hours, then you have to park and go into the show (because of the no tailgating in the lot thing) a couple hours before the opener even comes on. I am the type of guy who like to keep my buzz going and those seven dollar beers piss me off. If this thing was going on in a hotel parking lot I would totally be game, anyways just something to think about.

That's what I was thinking. But I guess the people who want to get good lawn seats can do their thing and the people who don't want to get their so early can come back to a hotel room or parking lot in order to contiue the pregame festivities. (if there are people like me who don't like to be in the venue at 5:30)

There were some other hotels but that was the best deal i could get that close to the venue. I saw a couple of better deals at www.hotwire.com but they don't let you know what hotel it is or how far away it is until you buy, hope this helps!

Skyline is a Cincy based chili restaraunt. You can get cheese coneys, or anywhere from a 2-way to a 5 way. It's spaghetti, chili, cheese, onions, and beans. I'm all about the 3 way. It's very addicting and I got many people stuck on the can version while I was in the Navy.

I've got a question for everyone, not really about polaris, but something new to talk about. If money, work, etc. were not an issue, how many shows during the summer would you like to see? Be careful before you say all of them because there is definitly something to be said for anticipation. I would have to say 5, which is how many I am doing this summer/fall. there would be a few places i would definately want to hit up .... gorge and alpine being the top 2 that i've never been too and would go if i had the chance just to see what all the hype is about.... then red rocks, deer creek, obviously polaris, and any shows here in d-town

Mongoose
05-26-2003, 09:07 PM
There would be about 8, that way they could be spread out over certin months, could go to the two night runs. I could hear more varity that way. That would be nice.

DMBdude79

I'd probably hit up Noblesville because of the amount of hype my friend has talked about it. There are some places, Gorge, MSG and maybe a Canadien show that are guaranteed to be incredible. And I'd really like to go back to Virginia Beach and enjoy a show with some of my old friends.

So is anyone else celebrating with Willie and friends for his 70th bday? I'll drink one to him and his guitar that is probably older then me.

6/17 polaris
6/18 polaris

7/5 alpine
7/6 alpine
7/9 target
7/16 the woodlands
8/1 shoreline
8/2 shoreline
8/7 gorge
8/8 gorge
8/27 spac
