I am going to on that little road up to the parking lot at the koco, theres some woods for the greens and the beers are cool for the road.
The concert was great they played crazy game of poker -> no women no cry. It was a good ass night, pounded about 6 or 7 beers in a matter of a hour. Went to the concert then went and saw bruce almighty.
I do not reccomend seeing bruce almighty, was not a good movie in my view. Although that part with jennifer anistion running was rather nice.
I also had steak escape and wendys before during and after the concert.

damn... there was an OAR concert? that sucks, i've been dying to see them. i was actually in columbus to see Sondre Lerche. he's a Norwegian guitarist/singer. i like his stuff, very cool. he was opening for Nada Surf, but we actaully left when he finished...
maybe i'll go see OAR open for 311 in Noblesville in July... does anyone else think this is an odd lineup?

That is kinda weird. I'm probably going to go see 311 up at Meadow Brook in Detroit July 31, and Something Corporate is opening for them. That's a weird combination too, but I like both bands, so it should be fun.

I know this doesn't have to do with Polaris, but it's got to do with DMB. But has anyone ever been in Pavilion at Riverbend. I've got a feeling my WH seats are barely under the Pavilion. If anyone has an idea let me know.

here's what happened to me...
i bought my first tickets through the warehouse in 2000 for lawn at Polaris. we got there early to get in the front of the lawn. maybe a half hour later, a guy walks up and asks if i got my tickets through the WH. i tell him yeah and he asks if i want to take a walk. so me and my girlfriend follow. he walks us up to the front of the pavilion, and asks me to pick two numbers. so i pick two and those are my new front row seats. he asked if he could keep my lawn tickets...and i had no complaints.
...i think it's a totally random thing, but he did walk right up to me and ask me personally if i had bought my tickets through the WH as if he knew who i was. maybe it was a lucky guess...
good luck getting upgrades though...i'll be partying out on the lawn my my gang....

Also, this is funny.....hopefully of what's NOT to come.
Do you guys ever have weird dreams? Last night I dreamed that I was at the opening night of DMB's summer tour, except it was in Nashville, not Columbus. Anyway, it was less like a concert and more like a variety show.....Dave was acting so stupid and doing magic tricks and juggling and acting out little scenes from plays and stuff. And the full band only came out twice and did two songs.
People started leaving because it sucked. During this intermission I had to run to my car to get something and I ran into Dave at the side entrance. I asked him why they weren't being the DMB that we all loved....why they weren't just playing....and he said, "What? You don't like it?" I said, "No...it sucks!"
So he then went on to tell me that they had a new manager who was MAKING them do this stuff, but that they would be out of the contract soon...they were just trying something new, sort of like EVERYDAY.
I told him that hopefully the news of this horrible concert wouldn't get out to the public before I could sell my 2nd night ticket to Columbus. I told him that I would still go to night 1 because of KOCO, but I didn't think I could sit through this again. (He said it would be EXATCLY the same.) Then we parted ways after I got a picture.
Anyway, I thought I would bring a little laughter to the post today, because that dream was so stupid! ANd when I woke up it made me desire to be at the REAL thing more than anything!

I haven't decided when I'm leaving. And I was going to crash at my cousin's place up there but am not sure. I might come home after night 1, catch a nap and then come up with a new friend lady friend since all my old ones suck. But by Sunday I will know who/when I'm going with and will let you know.

That's fine, did you get to see all three bands? The first band wasn't bad, but I didn't really get into them. Chevelle was awesome as usual, but the crowd was pissing me off. No one was moving or anything, the people in the front two rows were a bunch of pansies, acting like they had never been to a rock concert before, it was dissapointing. At one point, Pete was like, "feel free to move around" before he started a song, and he kept asking, "so are you with us or what" and Sam(drums) would shake his head no. It was great though when Joe came into the crowd, and we were able to get a little movement going on halfway through.
The foo was great too, I liked dave's comment about the glow sticks, "the chemical brothers aren't next door".
All in all, great show, hope to see them again.

if anyone is interested...there's an all day drum expo going on at Maumee High School from 10am until 8pm. there's 4 drummers coming in as well as a marching drum clinic. the four drummers comingin to play are Mike Mangini, Billy Ashbaugh, Russ Miller, and Zoro. it's $10 for the whole day, and it should be a pretty sweet event. here's a link with more info: http://www.peelerdrumcenter.com/upcoming_events.htm

yeah, the crowd was pretty lame. we missed most of the first band because no one got to my house on time to leave...
i loved how the foo started the show...totally kicked my ass. i knew they'd start with All My Life...but i didn't know about any of the extra stuff. the first three songs totally ruled, perfect beginning. the crowd by me didn't even really get into the concert until Monkey Wrench. we had a little pit going, and i was in it until someone jacked me in the face. got a nice little cut above my eye, but that's alright. overall a sweet concert. it was pretty cool that i called the first and last songs too...too bad i can't guess shit for a dmb setlist:lol

I dunno what the dot is... it's just moe. Don't ask, haha. I'm not that big of a fan... only went to one concert, was decent, but the whole jamband thing is a little over my head i guess. They do have talent though, which is more than I can say for some opening acts i've seen. Ouch on the Macy Gray. I've hated her from the moment I first heard her sing.

Good morning Polaris,
So I went to the 89x show on Saturday, and the Used were not there because Bert is sick and in the hospital, I was so mad. Also, it was way too damn cold out, especially for may 31st. You should not be able to see your breath when it's almost June.
Anyways, it wasnt all bad, Finch was great, and I was impressed by Staind. Also, clear channel had a table with an e-mail sign up for free tickets, so I got a free ticket to the 12 stones show tonight, which is cool.
On a more DMB related topic, I think I might have found buyers for my Blossom tickets, and someone that wants my pavilion tickets in exchange for lawn tickets and some cash on night 2, so hopefully those deals pan out.

I think in row 5 there is 43 seats. But now that I look at the map I got from TM, there are 43 seats in Row Z. Looking at last years ticket, I was in sec. B row V, and that I had the aisle seat, 37.

Yeah but look what Oates ( I think I was typing and not looking when he was talking) had to say. He said it wasn't them out there the first 2 games. My boy #9 is going to have his day soon. He was on the move tonight, damn he's quick.

anaheim has definately been the better team the past 2 games... this is without a doubt the best hockey they've played all playoffs... if they keep this up, the cup is as good as theirs... but i got to believe that new jersey is gonna come out hard and get back to their game on thursday night.... what oats said about the ducks the first 2 games applies to the devils after these 2 games... plus new jersey needs to work on faceoffs.... i've never seen a team lose so many draws in their own zone... it's pathetic.... by the way, who's your boy #9?

Actually coach Babcock and the rest of the guys who I've seen play for the Cincy Mighty Ducks are my boys. But I'm just amazed at how quick Kariya can be. I never got much of a chance to watch the Anahiem Ducks play much when I ordered the NHL season pass because of them being on West Coast and not starting until 10:30 pm so I'm enjoying all this up.

kariya is a slick s.o.b. .... he can fly.... he's also got one of, if not the, best shots in the game... such a quick release.... he had an excellent scoring chance in game 3, right in the slot, and brodeur just barely got his blocker on it.... i was surprised he didn't burry it

Good morning Polaris!
The time is getting nearer each day....and I, for one, am getting more excited each day!
I hope that about a week before we will start making final plans.....I basically have no clue what I am doing or where I am going! I am just going to bring some food, bring the banner, and bring a couple of you guys cell phone numbers in case I really get confused!
But anyway, it is just worth getting exciting because time is closing in.....QUICKLY!

I was looking back at some of the first posts of this thread and I noticed that there are a lot of people who haven't posted in a long time....or only posted in the very beginning.
I wonder if they are still coming to KOCO...I wonder how many people should actually be expected! Any guesses?
And those early posters, are they still counted as part of the headcount?
Just thinking........

Mongoose

I think that they are counted, someone should send them a pm and ask whats going on. Oh, another idea, I saw that there are quite a few people listed as going to the concert but dont post in the thread.
Maybe we could make up a basic little message we could send them that has time, date, place, info on whats going on to them...
maybe, just trying to get some action in this thread.

The Iguanas opened up at deer creek a few years ago, I am not sure about songs to download, but I will be at my campsite until 7:45 or 8:00, I didn't enjoy them, but hey, to each their own!

I'm going to watch tin cup and eat popcorn, by the way if you ever need to mask a smell, popcorn works very well. It also lingers long enough for the other smell to dissipate.
In other news, less than two weeks till the KOCO, I might have gottan 3 more people for it.

Wow, I've never been able to keep things together when I played and sang before, but tonight, I was playing and no music was one to go along with it, so I was playing the song glyecerin by bush, I know its not hard and the words follow the beat pretty much exacly but I made it through the whole thing. I forgot the thirds verse but I just played the chorus again and ended it. This is so sweet, I did something I could never do before tonight.

The only catch is that I would also like you to buy my extra night 2 ticket from me, which is located in section e row dd. I will sell these both for $105 and will ship for free. I am only trying to sell these together as of now. Email me if interested

how long have you been posting these. i think i read some on nacies or wh or somewhere.
I think most people just don't want to sit by themselves plus the concerts not even sold out yet.
Hell for kicks i checked ticketmaster last night and got 3 pavilion seats together for both nights
but good luck, selling them at the actual concerts could prove to be the best method
