I have been trying to download the new antsdownloader but I am unsuccessful. When I try to download anything, it saves it as an .shn file and then I cannot open it when double clicking. How do I save it as anything but an .shn file. If anyone can help me, let me know. Thanks!!

Have you downloaded any music from the HTTP server or the FTP servers before? You're supposed to be downloading SHNs. If you don't know what SHNs are, you might want to read some of the threads here http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=24

etree.org has a plugin that will allow you to play shn's in winamp.

I have downlaoded a lot of shows from the servers but when I try to download the antsdownloader program, it says that I am downloading a .shn file. It reads antsdownlodersetup.exe.shn. how do I get that file to not say .shn? Apparently I cannot open it if it is a .shn file.

Ah. Is it on your desktop? Try right clicking it, clicking on Rename, and then take off the '.shn' extension.

Thanks but it turns out that I cannot access it. I am a student at Purdue and I was using a lab computer because I have a dial up at my house. There was a statement that said that only privileged users can download the .NET needed. But thanks for your help. I thought I had it. Oh well. I will just do it the old way.
