I was wondering how many people will admit they burn on the fly
(burn disk to disk without ripping the songs) about everyone I have talked to about trading doesn't know what it is. I have shn back ups so i just use those to be sure the files are true when I trade, anyone have any opinions about this?

I never burn on the fly. For my sake more than others. Both of my drives run through the same IDE cable and it would most likely error more than not. Plus I rip a show to wav, so I can back up in shn anyways. Personal use only. I only share/trade shns that are massly spread, since .md5's are never the same.

the md5 should be 100% the same if people didn't make their own shns
or rip a show then convert it back to shn

you should always rip the disc
you shouldn't make shns of shows unless you are making the master shn disc

will, I don't ever leave the shn shows on my computer. They are for my personal backup use only. I rip the show and convert it to shn, burn it, then delete it. I never share or trade files that I've converted to shn myself. So what does that harm??? I mostly do it for shows that I have received in the mail in audio form, so if they get scratched, I don't have to trade for them again. And since shn is smaller, it's easy for me to save some money.

ok the wya it sounded at first was you only trade the "new" shns if they are a widly spread show because the md5 are not the same anyway
