hey everyone,

this is my version of dave's stay or leave. i know he plays it on the bari, but until i can get one, it'll have to stay standard.
also, i don't think the second chord on the chorus is right, *shrugs* but it's close. enjoy.

Thanks alot for the tab, I've been wanting to play it since I first heard it.

Would the first chord of the chorus be :

0
8
7
5
7
0

Since Dave usually plays it that way?

since dave switches guitars for this.. i tend to think that it isn't standard tuning.....

It isn't standard tuning, but I've played with this tab and it sounds pretty good.

I'd have to agree. I think it sounds real close. Good job on that.

It sounds like there might be a bridge in there somewhere around the part "remember we used to dance and everyone wanted to be you and me i want to be too" what do you all think???

This tab is only the verse and chorus I think. I haven't seen any tabs for the other parts yet.

capo 7th fret=dave's raised baritone tuning, there's a really good tab around for that capoed version, sounds dead on, you know, dont bother restringinf you guitar, just capo it!

I put up some sound files of the song. Check it out and let me know which intro you like (1 or 2). The tab above (standard tuning tab) I believe is the Number two recording. The Number one is capoed..

eventhough it is in a differnt tuning like YNK, it still sounds great with that standard tuning tab, and you can segue it into #41!

there's a thread that has one possibility of it, it's how i've been playing it and it's pretty decent

edit: found it, here's the thread

I've just kinda messed around with the general idea that tab gives you, figured out a pretty nice procession that sounds good

If you have a capo, this is a pretty accurate rendition of it.

ok I don't know how to tab but instead of all that hard contorting fingers i just play in standard tuning like this in the verse and this is what it sounds like sloppy on the recording did it quick to show that my tab sounds pretty good:

2 2 0 0 0 0 0 0
3 3 5 3 3 3 3 3
4 2 6 4 0 0 0 0
4 4 7 5 4 4 2 2
2 5 0 0 0 5 0 4
X X XX X X X X

second time

2 2 0 0 0 0 5
3 3 5 3 3 3 3
4 2 6 4 0 0 0
4 4 7 5 4 4 2
2 5 0 0 0 5 0
X X XX X X X
