i have seen this line at the bottom of a couple .txt files from Brown's sources.

notes: The original 24/48 recording is available in .flac format

i know what .flac is, but what the 24/48 mean?

IIRC it's 24-bit audio @ 48 kHz

yup. 24 bit recording. shn is 16 bit. if you don't have a 24 bit soundcard don't bother downloading it.
