Question about GrabIt (NGs)

the downloading speed its telling me that its going at represents the speed of each thread, or the combined speed of all threads? Am i downloading 4 threads @ 250k each, or 4 threads @ 63k each?

david, i believe its 4 threads @ 63k each, but i could be mistaken.... my friend uses GrabIt i don't.... i got a mac so i use hogwasher and everytime i download a show and when i want to expand it i can't....

I think it's combined. I'm using it over dialup (a bit crazy, i know). I usually get 5K or so, downloading three threads. I doubt I'd be getting 15K over a 56k line...

yeah, it has to be combined, since i cap at 250k i couldnt be going 1m/s on cable... ah well :p

great program btw. its so much easier than forte, xnews, etc ... at least for me. of course anything free is nice :D

i don't think you can change the speed. it downloads at whatever your connection can handle. usually speeds are fast since you are connecting to a local server.
