So I have mkw and have been able for awhile to convert SHN -> WAV however anytime I try to shift drop the wav to turn into SHN I get a error and it creates a .skt file instead of the SHN....PLEASE! Somebody help me with this.....
Also, many have told me that there is no such burning software that converts SHN to WAV before burning the CD and that you must convert to WAV through mkw first. There has to be a easier way....Thanks for the help!

As far as your problem goes, I don't know...what i always do is right click on the SHN-->open with-->mkw. I just do all of them one after the other...takes about a minute or so, then just wait as they decompress.
There is no burning software that does it for you. SHN's are not widely used and I'd almost say that the people who make all the burning software don't even know what an SHN is.
If you compare this method of getting shows to the old fashion way of going through mail, this is MUCH more convenient, even with having to decompress each file.

the .skt file is a seektable file (which basically lets you scan thru a shn as your listening to it).
As for converting wav's to SHN's, try highlighting the wav's, right click and select decode to shn, see what happens. Also, you might wanna take a look at your options in MKW regarding converting files, maybe something isn't checked on/off.

In mkw, go to options-->shorten, and click on the box that says do not generate seek table.
