Hi,
I was recently mailed two discs in .shn format. I tried to d/l the 'mkw' program but it just showed up in netscape as random letters, symbols, and numbers. This is a subject of great confusion to me and would very much like some help in the simplest way possible. Thanks so much. Nathan

No.
You want to just drag and drop. SHN to WAV the first option.
i just select them all and right-click and choose decode to wav

I am trying to convert my .shn files. It worked fine for the first 12 or 13 then everytime I tried to drag and drop, it converted them to .bak files (backup files) and I don't know what to do with these files, or how to get them to convert right. Thanks for any help.

it sounds like you are trying to convert them twice. .BAK are backup files, and are created when an existing filename already exists.

so what should i do?
you only need to convert the SHN > WAV once. you take the wav files and do what ever it is you want to do with them
