Hi there,
I am somewhat new to this, but I am having a problem with the configuration step of antsdownloader. When I get to step 4:

Once you've installed AntsDownloader, navigate to your start
menu and find the Antsmarching.org program group, and start the config program within it. Then, enter your username and password that you used to register with the site, and click Save.

My question is: When i open up the folder, I see four things: Ants downloader, web configuration file, release notes, and uninstall. Is the "config program within it" this web configuration file, or the ants downloader? the web config file keeps giving me and error message saying it needs to know who created the file. To be quite honest, I am really lost and aside from having someone else do it for me, you guys are my only hope. Any suggestions? K8

JOe - I open Antsdowloader.exe and that is when I get the error.
Windows cannot open this file. To open this file windows needs to know what program created it.
I then click on use the web service to find the appropriate program and it takes me to a web page that displays this:

Windows has the following information about this file type. This
page will help you find software needed to open your file.

File Type: Unknown

Description: Windows does not recognize this file type.

The following Web sites have a comprehensive list of file extensions. You might be able to find information about this file type there:
CKNOW.COM

Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

Yea. Somethings really wrong with your computer. Its saying it doesn't recognize .exe file extension. That's not good. Major problems there. Nothing to do with the Downloader.

100%.

The error you just gave me is that it doesn't recognize .exe extenstion. Don't know what else to tell you.

yeah hed have bigger problems if it didnt recognize exe files...

it is a wierd thing tho

make sure the exe doesnt have a space on the end of it... that could cause problems... i guess

actually maybe your computer is thinking that the files is called AntsDownloader.exe and the extension is blank (unkown)

Try to fix this so that the file extenstion is .exe and the names is AntsDownloader.
