Before I start my question I just want to say thanks to the AM staff for all the hard work that must go into keeping all of us happy!! I think that is overlooked so often when people make requests or post questions. On to my question...

I am using the antsdowloader and I was able to download the first ten songs from 3-29-03 and then it stopped this morning. When it started to dowload again it started over again at song two and then started to download from that point. Ironically I am currently listening to song four, so if I read the FAQ (And Yes I read it before making this post) and I if I read other posts correctly this should not happen. The downloader should continue from the point it stopped at. Since I am getting to listen to some songs I am pretty happy, but i can't seem to get past song two on my downloads. I would really enjoy having the rest of show. If somebody could please tell me what happened and why it starts over at the same place every time I would greatly appreciate it. One other thing, I haven't been able to get connected for about the past hour. I don't know if that is my own problem or something on the other end. Thanks so much for being patient and listening to yet anothe quesiton about downloads.

I appreciate all the help that I have received from the AM staff and other individuals who have responded to the posts. Thanks!! :)

Are you converting your songs?

Converting the songs? I don't really know...I am listening to the songs on WINAMP, I just started to listen to them. I did a search on my computer once the downloader started back at song 2 (since when it ended the first time it was on song 10) when I did the search I located all of the songs, which were all in the same file. I then picked one of the later songs in the dowload to see if I could play it and it started (and sounds amazing!). If I converted anything I didn't know I had. I just followed the steps on the instructions and on the FAQ. I am not sure if that answers your question....I hope it does.

Well the deal is. The downloader will skip songs that are done as long as they are still there. If you move them or delete them or edit them or do anything to change them from what the downloader is expecting it will redownload them. This is whats happening. Something is changing them from what they should be and thus the downloader is redownloading them. As for what exactly is changing I have no idea it can be a number of things. The 2 biggest this are converting the files to wav before you finish the d/l and the second is moving the files out of the folder.

So what your saying is I should not listen to them prior to the whole show being downloaded? If so that is okay, that is probably where my mistake is occuring. I don't know all that much about computers (which is obvious I am sure) so I may have moved the files on accident or changed something. Again, thank you so much for your quick replies and the help.
