I've been lovin' WWYS recently, and SMTS. But Raven is fun just cuz it grooves the way it does. OSW with the intro rocks too.

i wasn't trying to be an ass either. in the ndmbc forum there is a thread started by erich with a link to a site that will translate anything you type into what a 12 aol instant message user would type... also notice that i added a wink after it.

Look at my original post. Did I insult him? Did I say "Do a search you asshole!"?
No, I merely said it's been asked a lot. I ADDED A SMILEY FACE and gave my 3 favorite Dave songs to play....I wasn't being a prick at all. Dude, why are you coming off on me, when there are people here that curse at newbs that make their first post in the wrong section. Shit, all I did was mention that its been asked a lot, and i answered his question. I would understand if i was like, "Dick, go to a search." Damn, sorry I messed up. I even said that its not like I dont care about the thread.
Who the hell are you anyway? Just cuz someone from this forum probably yelled at you when you asked "What's your favorite DMB song?" doesn't mean you have to take it out on me.
Now fuck off, I'm not in a good mood. I dont see why you would start trouble here when nothing fricking happened. I put a smile in my damn post and answered his question. Trust me, there's far worse than me here when it comes to flaming repetitive questions. Pee Nut Butter, I have nothing against. You sir, are probably an Irish dick from Gergia.

Intro to Grey Street? Isn't that the same as the verse? Or was there a different live one or something?

Something I have found fun to play recently (no pun intended) is the first 3 tracks of LS. Intro -> PNP -> Rapunzel.

LIOG. Always fun, always different (for me, anyway).
Ants. A hoot when the singing works. Hideous when it doesn't.
Warehouse. I cheat on most parts, but it sounds fine. Fun to sing (especially the last part).
LBV. Not officially a DMB tune, but certainly a DMB inspired tune. Not hard to sing, either.
Working on Stone, Crash, OSW, Two Step, WAYG...
It's all good.

I like to play "Stay or Leave", with the capo. But as of late I've been playing it with a different strumming pattern and not playing all the parts and it sounds good.

Thats definitely a good one. I just gotta learn that Nature intro slide he does, and the hard part of Billies, then I've got that song.
Too Much is also fun.......the solo version that is because you can play around with it.

That looks like the Nature intro, but you're missing the fingering of the third string at 2, not open. That makes it a little harder.

Ah, I see. I can more or less make the stretch, I think whats lacking is the strength right now since theres a buzz when I play it. But its definitely getting close.

I have long fingers, so I can play the Nature intro pretty easily, but one thing I still have trouble with is the way Dave plays the first two Captain chords. They dont seem like much of a stretch, but if you've tried it, you know how much of a stretch it is between your middle and ring fingers.

That to me, is the hardest "Dave stretch", honestly...

lol again my hands arent big enough so i just end up mutting the G on the first chord and then D on the second.

Today, I played #41, OSW, SMTS, WWYS, Recently->Water/Wine Jam->LIOG->Ants. I shoulda played STJL but I forgot about that one. I was just jamming in my parents basement cuz I can actually be loud here, unlike in my apartment.
Still gotta learn the breakdown/jam in Too Much so I can play all of SMTS->Too Much.

I don't do anything really special. Just if I have a song where I am having a problem with strength I keep trying to do it. I guess basically practice makes 'better'. Plus I just play around with chords that have weird and challenging fingering and I just try different progressions to see how fast I can pick up on them, that helps me a lot when it comes to strength.

My fingers hurt right now, I guess I was playing too hard to Too Much Food by Jason Mraz.
