i'm looking for a very good quality show with LOTS of songs from before these crowded streets (rare songs, such as dreaming tree, crush, pig, spoon, etc.). dreaming tree is the most important, but i really seek an excellent quality show. what can you guys recommend?

I'm right there with ya, I love hearing live versions of BTCS songs. One show I have which I think is very good is 11/21/98 @ the Crown in Cincy. No Dreaming Tree, but it has Pantala>Rapunzel, DDTW, Last Stop, Crush and Spoon, which opens the encore. Send me an email if you like, as it would be my pleasure to set up a B&P.

if you can track it down (on another board) the 7-17-99 show is amazing.

the 7/17/99 show looks great. how come it's not on the ants server?

the source that is out for that show is not the kind that are allowed to be hosted or traded here, that's why i mentioned you'll have to find it elsewhere

Someone on another board asked about a particular show the other day and I think it relates to this topic.
Check out 10.29.98 - I have an extra copy in SHN format right now and could burn a few audio if people sent me the CDs quickly.
Let me know,
Brian
Oh yeah: BTCS stuff from that night: Rapunzel, Stay, Dreaming Tree, Don't Drink The Water, Crush
Also on the set: Seek Up, Say Goodbye, Warehouse, Minarets, Warehouse, Lover Lay Down, Too Much, Ants, Two Step, Tripping Billies
Includes Tim Reynolds and Grey Howard

"Spoon" is not on Live @ the 10-spot. Somebody just stuck "Spoon" from a radio show on there as filler.
As for good (quality) shows with BTCS songs, I am fond of 7-17-99 DSBD and 10-29-98 ALD.

crush is rare?
anyway, yeah 7.17.99 is good. not a lot of btcs stuff compared to 98 shows, but it has dreaming tree.
also, the 6.21.98 show from germany is good. sounds great, and it has rapunzel, ddtw, crush and last stop.

6.3.98
9 songs from BTCS (all but spoon and halloween). I'm pretty sure no show has ever had more than 9

its ok, but not that great. My copy is forced DAO which kinda sucks. I'm not sure if a better copy is out there. I think this show was mp3'd alot and its hard to find a true clean copy

5.03.98 is also awesome. First of all, it has #41, Two Step, and LIOG all on one disc (if you track it right. ;)) Secondly, it has these BTCS songs: PNP>Rapunzel, Stay, The Stone, Crush, The Last Stop, DDTW, and Halloween. 7 songs, not too shabby. The recording out is not bad either.
The down side: Boyd is way out of tune on Last Stop.
The upside: Look at the encore. Holy crap. And this particular Halloween is N-A-S-T-Y in a good way. :D
EDIT: If anyone actually has a halfway decent SHN of 6-03-98, let me now. I know that show is pretty well known as a bitch to track down.

Of course if they played an encore like that these days, we'd all blow loads. :lol
BTW, there are daud recordings of both 7-17 and 7-16-99 that circulate. Both sounc reasonably good (not DSBDs, but whatever). why are those not up on the Ants server? Are they just not that common, or does nobody care about them since there are DSBDs?

i have both 7/17/99 and 7/16/99 as AUDs. they sound very good. i'm not really a soundboard fan (at least not with the newer years).
i don't think there are original shns out or something. i remember hearing that the 99 tour wasn't converted to shn like many of the other years.

At least it wasn't mp3'd immediately like most of spring '98. :lol

the loreley festival show from 1998 is also quite good, i think the date is somewhere in June 1998. Great radio broadcast, dave really tears it up on "halloween."

Lorelei is 6-21-98 I think. There's another similar one from 6-27-98 and I get them confused.
God bless German TV for bringing us fine DSBDs from bands like DMB, Phish, Ween, Mr Bungle, et. al. :D

i dont think so. I used to have a copy that was really quiet and had some pops in it. Not sure if a better one is out there. It was a good show though
