Sound quality is eh, but it's something I through together really quickly.
It's called "Yellow". It's short (about 45 seconds) but it's definately not done.
Enjoy.

Yup, you got yourself a riff ;). Add some lyrics (or a chorus, etc) and let us hear it again. Maybe in the future you could compress your WAVs to mp3s for the 56kers out there (not me)...

Hey, thanks bstorey. I tried to compress it w/ MKWAct, but it said that it wasn't a valid PCM file.

You'll get a kick out of this. ;)
Sound Recorder. Record one track, grab some headphones, play the first track, and press record on a second open SR, and play the lead part. Then, open a third SR, press record, then press press "play" on the rhythm track, then the lead track, one right after the other. I "suffocated" my mic, with my studio headphones. Once the third track is finished, delete the first two, and you have a multitrack. :)
EDIT: Click my link in my sig to view the files, the one in the first post doesn't exist anymore.

I added another version of "yellow" but i only put it up because a friend wanted to hear it. it's really rough.
I also added a version of Crush (http://www.angelfire.com/musicals/mr_pat3/crush_jam.mp3) that has the 2003 jam. its also pretty rough. almost all of it was improv.
enjoy. :)

could you post a tab of what you're playing there for the rhythm? And possibly the scale you used, such a good jam.

oh yeah, I hear a hint of Hold Me Down in Yellow, nice tune. I like the added part, got a tab for that as well?

The Crush jam is as follows:
e------
B-3----
G-4----
D-4--2-
A-2--2-
E----2-
The scale I used is basically just fooling around with some "safe notes" from a Bm and an E chord up at the seventh fret. It's really that hard to learn, just use lots of hammer ons and pull offs.
Yellow is as follows:
Part 1:
e-------2-----
B-1--1--3-----
G-0--0--2--2--
D-2--0*-0--3--
A-3--2-----3--
E----------1--
I try to sort of mute this note because if it is too noticable, the D chord would sound wierd. You'll see.
Part 1 Overlay
e--------------
B--5--3--6--1--
G--5--4--7--2--
D--------------
A--------------
E--------------
e--------------------------------
B-----1-----1-----3-----3-----3--
G-----2-----0-----2-----2-----0--
D--3--3--2--2--0--0--0--0--2--2--
A--------------------------------
E--------------------------------
I also overlayed this to the above:
(Drop D)
E--3--2--0--0--2--
Hey, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. :)
