I like to turn the water on just the slightest bit, so that it's barely a constant stream, and let her play with it. She tries to catch it in her paws...and drink from the faucet; which is actually very humorous, though hard to explain.

My dog has had problems w/ his teeth (a few have been extracted) because his previous owner didn't take very good care of them. Anyway, I'd like to get him a Kong Dental toy to help keep what he has left clean between brushings. Problem is, he's never been very big on chew toys. We've had some success giving him chicken flavored rawhide but he doesn't always eat them. The one thing that he will chew is a Greenie whenever we give it to him.

Any suggestions on what I can do to get him to chew more?

We get soup bones and kong toys and fill them with canned food and freeze them.

Well I just opened an email from my dad saying he had to put Molly to sleep, because she developed a tumor in her brain. :( He said she couldnt recognize anyone and by the time they got to the vet she couldnt even open her eyes. I've gone from never losing a pet, to losing two in less than a year. I'm just glad I got to hang out with her a lot when I went home to visit. :( :( :(

We had our cat Squeekers spayed on Thursday and picked her up from the vet on Friday. She's such a petite little thing and now she looks so pitiful with her little belly shaved and all those stitches. Let me tell ya, it sure is fun trying to put peroxide on the stitches. She was really sore her first day back home, but she's already getting back to her old habits like jumping up and laying in Ryan's lap as soon as he gets home from work and sneaking into our bedroom at night and trying to sleep on me :rolleyes

I have had animals all my life, and learning how to be mom has been one of the best experiences they have taught me. They truly fill our lives with so much love, wonder, and pause (we all need to pause, don't we?), and I cannot imagine life without them.

I thought about you and your foster baby when I was at the zoo last week. I went to the Denver Zoo and they had 2 baby snow leopards... so cute! I took some pics of the animals so hopefully they'll turn out. I love going to the zoo but not as cool as having the babies come to your house. :) You're so lucky!

I love going to the zoo but not as cool as having the babies come to your house. :) You're so lucky!she's getting bigger now....she looooves being in the pool. she's a great swimmer and it's so fun getting in there with her. it's so interesting to see how she responds to me--just like housecats, she's stubborn and only hears what she wants to hear. and then after I've bottle fed her she lays on the couch with me and gives me kisses. she's just so damn sweet. I'm trying to enjoy every minute I can with her because I know when she gets a little bigger our contact is going to be very limited. :(

The long-haired Persians do but there are short-haired Persians as well if you don't like the high maintenance of them. Usually i just put her in the groomers once a month, and try to comb her once a day. Try to look in your local newspaper for a breeder of Persians who is selling that would prob be your cheapest price.

He traveled about 7 or 8 miles from home and managed to cross a highway and survive. We've had him since he was a puppy for about 11 years and I'm so glad he's back.

Zoey is just about three years old now... She tore her back right ACL on Christmas this winter, and is still recovering from surgery. I won't show you any that show her shaved leg, but here's another goody!! I love the look of chocolates, yours, too!! They have a sheen on their fur, ya know?
