Listening to Shambro's right now....there is a lot of bass, but overall, not too bad...i wonder what Lesiak's will sound like.

also in Shambros:

* - Some drunk jackass sat down on my gear during the opening part of PFWYG.
My UA-5 was shut off thus losing a chunk of that song and the intro of
DIDO. I spliced in another MC012 > UA5 source over where the gap was.

I personally think that Lesiak's is better, seems more show like to me, you cna hear the crowd and what not. Schambros is good, but my money would have to go on Lesiak.

i am downloading this on Torrent now but I have a question for those who are comparing it with other sources. I listened to the granny preview just posted and didn't hear alot of bass as mentioned. Why is this?

Lesiak sounds like it has stronger bass over shambro, which i like better, on my stereo system, but I do notice a small echo from the venue in the recording.

I'm having a tough call on this one....

Wild, AT853s having more bass over MC012s? I'm pretty sure Joe had cut some bass to make the recording sound more natural, but that's kinda odd.

i prefer Chuck's over Joe's

maybe i'm just hearing things too, but it does sound like that when comparing DIDO and TM and listening at carter's kick bass.

Also the overall volumes are different in each recording, so i have turn to volmue up on my stereo a bit in one of them. That could also be a factor.

I'll have to compare more when it's not 4:21 AM before i decided.

Is chuck's recording up on bit torrent yet or just news groups? I'm downloading the bit torrent for joe's now but i am worried about the PFWYG problem. Thanks for the help.

Can't decide between Lesiak and Hoyt. Lesiaks sounds a little more clear, but there is some slight brickwalling during parts. I think Hoyt's sounds very clear. I am thinking Hoyt on this one. Shambros sounds good, but I can't deal with that PFWYG.

Anyone given Hoyt's a listen? I am through Bartender and I think it sounds pretty damn good. At times on Chuck's recording it was too loud and was distorted. I think Hoyt's has good balance. Anyone else have thoughts about Hoyt's?

I was at this concert and i have the show on audio as well. The recording I have is good throughout the whole disk except for pay for what you get and drive in drive out, but it gets better during drive in drive out. Just a basic question, does anyone have a dvd of this show?

as far as i know, only a clip from DIDO has been released... no clue whether the rest of the tape is as good as that or if the entire show was filmed. sorry.

if it was indeed taped and came out decent enough, i'm sure we'll see it someday.

i know that an IEM recording exists for this show, and i also know that im not allowed to talk about it, so if anyone has any info- it would be great if you could shoot me a PM :)

IMO this show was better than either of the alpine shows the same weekend(i went to all three shows)
