i what to be a server

i have a cable internet connection i am interisted in being a server for people with dial up speeds what kind of soft ware do i need to use to make me a server and sugestions also do isp get mad when you do stuff like that

You need ftp server software...do a search on somewhere like www.download.com or something like that.

Most likely, running a server is against your ISP usage policy. Will you get in any trouble....doubt it ( *knocks on wood* )

try checking out bullet proof ftp server, you are also going to have to forward ports if you're using a router. Check this out for the router help if you need it. Well, it's for linksys, but gives you the main idea. http://www.linksysftp.org/

i got all of the configeration ready but i only have 2 shows downloaded i can not get on any of the ftp server and the ants http download is not working but i hope to up and running soon
