Before anyone says anything about copyright policies, I own all of these CDs....

I have a DVD player that plays every kind of DVD, VCD, SVCD, and CD imaginable. I hate having to constantly switch out CDs since there is only like 50-70 minutes on each CD, so I have decided to make an MP3 DVD. This will hold all of the tracks from all of the albums I have.

I was wondering if DVD players are even capable of reading DVD+RW discs as MP3 discs. I burned a successful one last night, the player read the disc title and the individual folder names, but it wouldn't play the MP3s. Does anyone know if this will work? If so, could anyone let me in on the secret to burning/erasing data DVD+RWs?

That certainly pointed me in a correct direction. I'm also sort of bummed out that it appears to be so hard to do. Thanks for the help, I will try to make this work with DVD+RW.

PS- Still in search of more answers....:)

Well, I just found out that although my DVD player reads every DVD type and CD type, it will not playback MP3s on a DVD. The MP3 decoder I have is for MP3s on a CD-R only. That sucks.

Back to the drawing board. If anyone has any advice, that would be cool to get because I'm not sure where to go now.
