Need help - "Finished" pops up right away.

I've searched and I haven't been able to find anyone else who has had this problem so I hope I can get some help.
I've downloaded many shows with no problem before but starting today whenever the antsdownloader starts up for the download, it immediately says "finished" and stops. It doesn't scroll through anything at all.
I've re-installed the framework and the downloader and it is still doing it. I've taken everything off my hard drive thinking that was the problem but still no luck.
I haven't changed or added anything to the computer, still using XP, and it just started doing this today. Could it be due to all the traffic? Does anyone know what the problem could be?
I'd appreciate anyone's suggestions.

Have you redownloaded the .ants file? Does it happen on all shows or just one?

Yeah, which show(s)? Some have issues w/ the .ants file that the staff here hasn't got to fixing yet. It also could be the fact the server is getting hammered like crazy and it's having some issues.

I've redownloaded many of the .ants files and when the window pops up to start the download, that is when it immediately goes to "finished" and stops. It does happen with every show I try.

I was trying to get some of the new shows when it started happening, particulary 6/29 & 7/3, so I tried some older shows but it was still happening. Hopefully, it is like you said and the server is just getting hammered.

I had this happen. I redownloaded the file twice and on the third time it worked. I don't know anything about this stuff, but i'm guessing it has more to do with the server being busy than with the actual file, though I could be wrong.

I have been having the same problem. It will download one song. Then like 1 KB of the rest of the songs and say finished?

if it was yesterday and a 2003 show then the server might have been down.

Well, today it isn't doing it. Although, very slow, it is working now. Weird, huh? Thanks everyone

what are your speeds? Anyone care to post what their speeds are? We are trying to figure out if it is a configuration issue or just because of the amount of users trying to download shows right now, so your input could be helpful.

Now that my problem stopped and I'm running again, my speed is 9 kb/s. I normally run at 80 kb/s but with the boys on tour and all these new shows......... which is okay b/c I would take even slower speeds just as long as I could still download. Oh yeah, I'm on DSL. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, we'll give it a little more time and see if the speeds climb back up to normal. Thanks for the info.
