What's up all....I just wanted to tell everyone that I posted a clip of Satellite from the Pre-Production DVD. The clip is pretty damn good and I've made it split screen so you can see how both angles are synched perfectly.
There are of course a couple things to note. I strummed the Verse as opposed to picking it. This was because it was about 2am and I was moving into NYC the next day and I was VERY tired when I did this. Also, the lighting and sound aren't perfect. I am buying professional lighting for the final DVD and amazing Oktava MK012 mics for the sound. There will be a HUGE difference in terms of those aspects in the final DVD.
Other than the split screen, you are seeing exactly what DMB Management is seeing. Now imagine that o your 32" TV w/ that perfect quality!!! Please make sure to read all the Q&A's before you e-mail me. Thanks.....Well, ENJOY ALL!!!!!

I saw that you used Martin strings. Are those the ones you normally use and have you ever tried Elixer's? If you have tried Elixers what do you think of them. I currently use Elixers and they're the best strings I've ever used.

Got it last night. Very impressed with the quality and accuracy. You should get someone there though to operate the camera for you. :)
At any rate, great stuff and I can't wait for the DVD.

Gotta codec error, what do I need to download?
tom. you gotta read more closely ;)
Q: Why does my media player not play the video?
A: In order to watch the video, you must have an MPEG-2 codec.
An MPEG-2 codec and/or player can be found at Elecard.
This software only works on Windows and is NOT supported by dmbtabs.com
Currently, all users on other systems must search the web for an MPEG-2
codec...I recommend Google.

I got another quick question for all you. I'm deciding how I should go about putting the tabs on the DVD. I personally do not believe that the tabs sould be viewable through subtitles. Some people have expressed that option but personally I believe that is distracting and hard to read(on a TV). I think that the best way is really to print out the tabs from the computer and have them in front of you while watching the video. Also, how would you all suggest me putting the tabs on the actual DVD? Maybe just through menu's and you can read them on the DVD...just not while watching the video's??? SUGGESTIONS!!!! Thanks again for all the support everyone
can you do it like subtitles? then people could turn the feature on and off.

ALSO:
EDIT: To make things easier on everyone....I had planned on having a hot button on all video's. What this means is that instead of having to go into menu's and stuff to switch angles(unless your remote has a dedicated angle button)....all you would have to do to switch angles is to press the SELECT button on your remote(the big one in between the up, down, left, right buttons). The problem is I can't do subtitles and that feature...anyone!?!?!?

maybe while you're playing have a streaming view of the tab along the bottom. Lighting up the corrct note or chord as it passes, and as it's played. I think this idea is a little too much to do but hey, it's a suggestion.

hahaha. i re-read your post and i now see i'm a indiot. :lol
the hot button thing is fine, but speaking as someone who want to teach themselves guitar via this DVD, i would stick with the subtitles. my remote has an angle button anyway.
