Hey all,
New to this place -- love the look, feel, and atmosphere! Just attended my 6th DMB show, and found out about his great site there. I've done my duty and read the FAQs, but have a quick trading question: how am I going to do a trade when I don't have anything to trade yet?
Per list rules, in two weeks, I'll post an ISO for the 7.26.03 Home Depot Show, but will folks be willing to help a newbie start her trading collection? How's it work for new folks?
Also, I wanted to humbly ask you more tech-savvy types...what type of trade/b&p do I look for in order to play the cd on both my computer and stereo?
Much love to all!
Kara

you do one of two things: find a kind soul who will B&P something to you, or you download a few shows from the server. I suggest reading the FAQs on downloading thoroughly if you want to take that end.

My birthday show :) and yes, there are many kind souls here that will hook you up. asking nicely (like you are now :)) works, but look out for offers made on the forum for b&ps or freebies. sometimes the shows are out sooner, so always look for offers.

If done correctly, all cds that you get once you start trading should play on your cd-rom and your personal stereos. If you want files to play on your computer instead of cds, best to look through the downloading FAQs. the forum here and the subsequent faqs should help.

Thanks so much for all the great info! It's awesome to know there's folks here who still remember what it's like to be a newbie... I've been going to DMB shows for 6 years now, but only found this place this week.

Kara-
Let me know fo you want anything off my list. It might be a week or so, but I am expecting both Home Depot shows soon. I am assuming you are from So. Cal based on your shows. 7/26 rocked!!!!!!!
Also, I have the Dodger stadium show you went to if you like. Write me an email and we can set up a B&P.

Much thanks to all, again!
To answer the question, I'm from South Jersey, right outside of Philly, but moved West 4 years ago. :)
