MKWACT Magic Number?

When I try to convert my shns to wav I get a error message saying

"Error reported by Shorten:
No Magic Number"

What is this and how do I fix it, I have installed it many times over and I have tried four different shows and every file in that show.
When I verify the file it works fine, but I can't confirm it.

it means the file is corrupt and you have to redownload it
