Sorry I meant to get to that, had to get more drinkage. Anyways, My best friend at the time has a little brother, Drew. On Drews 21st, my friend was being a slug and did not want to take his bro out. So Drew calls me and I agree to go have some pitchers at the local sports bar. Keeping in mind that I have to work at 4am the next morning, I tell him I am out at 10 or earlier. Well, some other friends are at the sports bar and a few pitchers turn into like ten or more. needless to say the fat man is buzzing. When I say fat I mean like 270-280, not small in any case. I am then coerced into going to Peppers, the local singles bar. Getting in is probably the best part of this story. I am wearing a Rockies jersey over a white t shirt, my usual garb for that era of my life. We get to the door and the bouncer says, " no sports jerseys allowed." So I was cool with that and removed the top layer and try again. No good. "No white tshirts." AARRRGGGGHHH. Well another guy we are with says that he has a short that will work in his car. He forgot to mention that it was a size large. A 270 pound fat bastard is not attractive by any strech of imagination in a size large shirt. My gut looks like the surface of the Death Star with this shirt on, but liquid logic has taken over so in we go. I was summarily shot down on my first attempt at trying to buy my future bride a beer. But I have persistant friends that pestered her until she gave me a shot. and the rest is history.
