lol. yeah, it was really stupid. we have two phone lines, one of which is for the internet. it is hooked up to one phone in the house, the ophone is in my room. so, its my phone line that i share with the internet. i was on the phone really late one night (school night), and mom was unable toget connected to the internet apparently. we just got a new isp and used to, whenever someone would try to get online as i was on the phone, it made a crazy noise and so i could get off the phone. well, this one doesn't do that. it just makes a little click, and i thought maybe my friend's phone battery was going dead (it does ALL the time), and he said that it wasn't. so, anyway, we continued talking, and mom then came into my room to see if maybe my phone got knocked off the hook or something, thinking maybe that's why she couldn't get online. SO, i got grounded from the phone and the internet for one week because i was on the phone really late. and i got the whole "Elizabeth, I'm disappointed in you, because you know better" speech. Blah.

I don't know. My wife does that to me too, but depending on the situation, I stand my ground. Example: My wife had a faulty gall bladder that required her to have a VERY low fat diet. Sometimes she'd want some chocolate or something and I would flat out say no. She'd regret it eventually and I don't want to see her in pain.

Well, because of our insurance, we had to wait a YEAR before it was taken out. She lost about 10 pounds. If you don't exercise (which she hates), you level off after a while.

Plus, there are a lot of healthy alternatives out there...cuz remember, if she wasn't allowed to eat it, neither was I.

Yeah that is kind of how it works in this house. I try not to get too much junk in the house cause then I eat it when no one else is home. I do needs my chocolate though. Especially a certain times.
