Well obviously that's easy to say Matt but I can definitely say it's not the easiest thing to do. I've been an active person all my life, but last semester when my wife got pregnant and my Achilles problem prevented me from going out and being active (cuz I hate exercise machines), I gained 20 pounds! I've never been over 165 and I got up to 180.

Unhappy with this, I set up a schedule and ate a lot better during the summer. From June to August, I dropped down to 160. It took time and effort. Even now, my time is limited cuz of class, work, and baby, but a still get something in at least two times a week. Every little bit helps...you gotta start somewhere.

And your frame of mind has to change too. Like I said, I hate machines. My activities were sports (especially rugby...that'll get anyone in shape if you work hard). But all these injuries prevent me from doing that so now I've come to deal with machines cuz that's what's gonna keep me fit since my body is an eggshell.
