The thing is, long ago I used to say I was writing bullshit. But I always got good grades on these papers. So I continued to write what I wrote. I still feel as if I write the in the same mindset, so the line between bullshit and actually skill have blurred to the point that I'm not sure what's what anymore. I definitely don't write how I talk but it's still serious.

The BEST paper I ever wrote in college was for my freshman ethics class. I needed an A on the paper to get a B in the class. We read four books in the semester...two before midterm and two after...I only read the two before. In five pages, I basically told the professor that I didn't know what was ethical and talked in circles. I got an A on the paper. In all honesty, I am very proud of that paper and have used it on a number of different occasions.

I almost felt bad, but then again, nope.

Ok, so here's the story you all have been waiting for. Yesterday, I get called into my boss's office. He asks me to have a seat, and he needs to speak to me. He proceeds to ask me how things are going in my department, so I answer him honestly, and say, "they're okay." And then, he gets into it with me. He tells me they're taking Laura (my best friend) out of the office, and putting her somewhere else because of the tension, her and I can't separate our friendship from business, personalities clashing, etc. I tell him that I have no problem separating our friendship from business, I have before, and it's obvious to me that she can't take me seriously as a manager, or respect me either, because she can't make that separation. Then he tells me that all the other managers complain about me. I start crying hysterically, mind you, I had a long day at this point. He tells me that they think I don't pull my weight, that I'm nasty, etc. None of which is true. A manager that I don't even speak to basically told an outright lie about something I had said to her, and I never even said it. Of course, I brought this to my boss's attention, and he wasn't happy with it. Then he tells me that I should work more weekends, and that my personal life shouldn'taffect the business. He knows my weekends are spent with Gary and all, but I have to put the business first. So now, I'm looking at NEVER spending time with my boyfriend. Great. So I start crying again. He said he just wants to help me, and that he's not thinking that I do a bad job, neither does Mark, Brock or Bryan. It's the managers that are equal to and below me that bitch, supposedly. So George, another manager, comes to me and says that it's bullshit, and that Kamaria is the one trying to get me in trouble all of the time.

Then I talk to Jessi, the girl who works for me, and she tells me that Laura has been saying all this shit about me, that I'm not a good manager, she's better than me, its not fair that she does all the work and gets nothing for it, etc. Basically, Laura just washed an 11 year friendship down the drain. She'll get hers, trust me. I'll just let her dig her own grave.

I know I just rambled, but I wanted to let my Cockers know the deal. Yesterday was a horrible day, but today is better.
