got home about an hour ago, finally ate dinner. It's now my weekend... finally. Way too much breaking news tonight at work. The newscast actually turned out pretty well, but it was not fun getting there.
newscane
11-03-2003, 02:38 AM
crap, the Allstate thread is 1000 posts ahead of us!
How did that happen?!? I go away for one weekend and the 'cock falls behind! ... Geeeeez!
newscane
11-03-2003, 02:43 AM
I don't know how it happened, but I think we were 300 or 400 posts behind last night. So they picked up a lot of steam tonight. I'm off the next two days, maybe I can help us catch up...

My fingers hurt.
And snow is in our forecast.
newscane
11-03-2003, 02:47 AM
I've spent my entire day in front of a computer. Now I'm still in front of a computer. Hopefully I'll get some guitar practice in tonight, that will probably make my fingers hurt (although not as much as it used to).
Definitely no snow in our forecast here.

yeah, I was talking to Bellsouth earlier about my DSL. They suggested I change the DSL modem setting to "Bridged Ethernet" and have my router do the PPPoE. So I did that, but DNS wasn't working.. I needed to get my computer to refresh its DNS setting. I thought disabling then re-enabling the ethernet connection would work, but I wound up having to reboot. Oops.
katedid81
11-03-2003, 03:27 AM
how do you kick yourself offline?
i'm confused.

No ..but then againI just upgraded to Jaguar so I wouldn't know!

that's good.
I've never had to upgrade an OS. I bought my laptop with Win95. Reinstalled the OS, but never changed to 98. Parents' computer came with 98, still has 98. My current computer came with XP.
Although, I have done Debian Linux upgrades... and those are a piece of cake.
Yeah I know ... and my spacebar doesn't always work, so it makes for interesting typing!

morning cocks. I hope you all had a good weekend. I don't know that I will try to read all of what went on. My weekend was great. Justin's team won the tournament. We(the team) ate at Hooters Saturday night and he got a shirt and they all signed it. He was very excited. It will be kind of busy for me today getting caught up from being gone, but I will be in and out.
I don't think that you really missed all that much ...

Yeah ... would be nice to know before you get them ... all I know is we have confirmed tickets!

I went to get the mail, and locked the top lock to my apartment. I came back, unlocked the door... but couldn't get in. The flip latch had managed to flip itself over as I closed the door. Oops. I went to the complex office, one of the maintenance guys got a wire hanger, and after a few minutes, managed to flip it back. I don't know how that happened, but I will make sure to flip the thing all the way back before I close the door.
Now I'm off to run some errands. Back later.

Where is she?
It's going to be weird being home. I kept saying how much I wanted to get out of Lindenhurst, but I've never been so homesick as I've been the past year. I think it's more I miss my family then my actual hometown.

We've been looking at the options, and at first it was like alright we're going, but after discussing it a bit, we're not sure if it makes sense financially.
