We are so very lucky to have a man like The Wizard helping us out. We have just added another storage device to our network, and due to this, we are able to reconfigure the setup for our 2003 server and put it back online.

Here's the jist: We think that performance will increase due to this new configuration, but we can't guarantee all the kinks will be worked out for the time being. Let me know what kind of luck you have with the new system in this thread.

Edit 10:40am EST: The system will be up within the next half hour or so. Still waiting for some files to finish moving.

I left the downloader running at home. Would it still be running when I get back? I don't know if you've moved the shows over or not. No big deal if it is. :)

Unfortunately Tom, I think you're going to have to redownload the .ants file and resume your show. Sorry about that :(

I started the 6/29 show before leaving for Camden yesterday afternoon and I come back and here it is ready to decode and burn. Hail to the Wizard!

We try, thanks Tom. It's frustrating for us, too. We finally seem to get all of this set up right, and what happens? The system bombs on a simple mount command. Or the worms going around create a lot of network traffic that slows down the downloads. We're really close to having a very stable system at the moment. Just gotta get the 2003 box back on its feet (which shouldn't take long) and we'll be all set.

don't know if it is just me but i can dowload the songs individualy but can't get the ants downloader to work?

I just want to thank you guys for working so hard at this.... it is amazing to think that you guys are doing this all just for the love of DMB... it must be some great music ;)

Thanks a TON! I know the download area is a royal pain in the ass for you guys (actually I don't, I can only imagine) but, it is a great tool in spreading the music. I'll certainly be using it and passing on shows. Thanks a bunch for all your time and effort!

right on.....im getting the 3.29 show, at around 20 kb/s but i think that has to do with my fucked up connection at school......thanks yall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there something I need to do to get the Ants Downloader to work, all it says is "finished" when try to start a download?

I can't seem to get anything to download. Is there a server problem? IO open up the antsdowloader and it just sits there not doing anything when I try to dl something. Any help is appreciated.

did you download the ants file and double click that? or did you just open the downloader?

I dl the file and doubleclicked it and nothing happened. I will try it again.

Now it appears to be working. I do not know what was wrong earlier but at least I can dl these great shows now. Thanks.

I've tried it both ways on two different machines, I did a clean install of the downloader on one of them, I was going to reinstall it on this one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It worked great up until the last server issue.

Now that I can dl sohows, I have noticed that I can not dl 2003 shows. I can not even get the file to dl. When I go to the dl page and click on 2003 shows, a list pops up, I click on a date and it tells me that I am not logged in. I have been away for a while. Is there a server problem? Any help is appreciated.

I' think I've found the problem. Can someone take at the 7/30/03 download file for David Baty's recording, , and the 8/1/03 download file for Joe Palastre. The UI opens, but a couple seconds go bye, and they just register as "finished". Also Mike Vernal's 8/1/03 is missing several tracks.

So to conclude there is nothing wrong with the server at all, just some problematic download files.

If someone could take a look that would be cool, and advise us when they're all set.
