View Full Version : Daves 12 string on Folsom Field DVD
Is that a J200? and do they make it in a 6 string with the same wood color? It looks like cherry. I want the J200 but don't like the sunburst or maple wood.
Thanks

If you got the deniro, Gibson will do custom specs. J200s and J150s start around $1800 with factory specs, though.
I've always loved the sound of a jumbo, Gibson, Taylor, or otherwise. There's a Taylor W65 (I'm pretty sure) 12 string at Sam Ash in Nashville - plays like a dream and a price like a nightmare.
Yamaha makes some pretty decent jumbos for those on a budget, and Epiphone just started making Gibson jumbo-esque bodies. They're the price of a high-end Epi, and sound great.
so, what i want is a gibson J200 with someting like the 12 string color of Daves Taylor. You think i could really get gibson to do a special order?

taylor will probably make you a custom walnut guitar in that finish too, but again, it will cost some serious cash
