Matte surface guitars look sweet, though.

Give me a high gloss any day.
Anyways - I played a 214 a couple days ago at Sam Ash. It was obviously a factory second - and the price tag ($889.99) made me want to vomit. I really was not impressed. It sounded like there was a loose brace under the bridge.
I asked the guy about it and he said that it was a blem, and that they would take $725 for it. I told him to let me know when a new one came in.
Not a good day for Sam Ash.

If you order it from Guitar Center, what is the price range? more than $700?

I got mine there, didn't order it. Mine was just under $800 with tax and including the hard case. It was like $660 or so for just the guitar before tax. I'm liking it so far.
