my dad just brought home a spare mic from work (cone shapped handel ball at the top :lol) ok the thing is, it works, but i can barely here myself during playback even with my speakers up loud. i changed the mic volume, still didn't do anything. the only model number it gives me is: UNI DIRECTIONAL MIC DM-20SL IMP.600 then after the 0 what looks to be a upside down horsehoe, i know its a unit of science, just forget which one. amps i believe? but i'm not sure.

anyways, is there a way to make the recorded volume higher

doesn't a preamp just even out levels for your guitar? i can barely hear anything voice wise just talking into it.

edit: yeah it is ohms :D
