So my cousin got engaged this weekend and asked me to play guitar in his wedding. We have another cousin Sara who sings very well and he would like her to sing for me. We were thinking about doing "When You Say Nothing at All" by Allison Krause, because we've done that at weddings before and we harmonize well on that one. I was just wondering if you all had any ideas on other songs that would be good for this. Thanks for the help.

How about a poll with some of the songs you DO play... Maybe we could help if you narrowed it down a bit...

Thats the thing I have been playing for nearly 13 years and I am somewhat advanced. I can play or can learn most any song. I was just wondering if anyone had been to a wedding and heard a good performance.

If you can play IBYU, that would be pretty cool. I was actually going to post a thread, but found this on search. I'm getting married next August, and want a DMB (studio) song for me and my future wife to dance to. I was thinking, IBYU, LLD, Waste, Stay or Leave (havn't heard it all yet). Any suggestions?

please, not canon in D. It's beautiful, but so overplayed... every wedding has that song. Please, consider alternatives. There are many other beautiful pieces of classical music, many of which have been arranged for solo guitar.
