hmmmmm what do you mean by making it. During my wilder days, which are WAYYYYYYY past me, I was with a guy that turned out to be CRAZY! when i was 18 i married a psycho (no, not Patrick) :lol
i was in the school portion of army training and this guy just swept me off my feet. before i knew it, we got married. he still lived in his barracks and i still lived in mine. the army refused to recognize our marriage until we got to our permanant duty station (that's how stupid the army is). we were both on orders for Korea so we figured we'd get housing there. turns out where we were getting sent you had to live on base in the barracks. he went batshit! he went from sweet but possessive to certifiable nut job in no time flat! i was a few weeks ahead of him in school so i went on leave back to ohio until i shipped out to korea while he finished his classes. just before i left georgia he decided that i was "whoring around" on him (uh, i wasn't!) and he choked me almost to the point of passing out... you'd think i would have dumped his ass right then and there, wouldn't you?
while i was on leave i crashed my foster mom's car...no major injuries, just a hurt hip and glass in my scalp. i called him and told him i was ok. the next day, he shows up! he went AWOL and hitch hiked from georgia to ohio "to be with his wife" :rolleyes: then he tells me that he doesn't want me to go to Korea, he wanted me to get pregnant and go live with his mother (whom i had never met!) in Cali etc etc etc. just before the military police dragged him away he stole all of my childhood photos... it was bad, i tell ya. he got off on the AWOL charges by telling the army that i was in a coma and needed a blood transfusion from him blah blah blah
anyway, i get to korea and a couple of months later, guess who shows up? needless to say, by that time i realized how very much of an idiot i had been so i had two of my biggest army guy buddies *ahem* "escort" his ass away to his camp about 30 miles away. i tried to initiate a divorce but since the army didn't recognize the marriage ( i never filed it because i didn't intend to continue it, frankly) i had to wait a year until i got back to the US. the whole time we were both in korea i looked over my shoulder... he called my company commander and tried to get us stationed on the same base, he contacted my room mate and tried to get her to call him if i dated, he wrote some of the most bizarre letters i've ever seen.... man!
i get stationed here in oklahoma, had to wait another year to establish residency and then i file. my psycho lawyer (true shit... she later got locked up for driving 112 mph in texas butt nekkid screaming about aliens coming for her :p ) screwed up the papers... we had absolutely no property together...ever! to dispute but she put in the divorce papers "plaintiff does not request child support for her unborn child" oh yeah, i was already knocked up by this time :rolleyes: but gosh, since it had been nearly TWO AND A HALF YEARS since psycho dude and i were together... anyway, his lawyer contested it, blah blah blah... the divorce was finalized exactly two months before Nick was born. and it ended up costing me $800 that i was saving for baby furniture.

and this is why patrick and i have been together so long... i'm scared shitless to start dating again :p

Well, I've never been a fan of haste in a relationship, so I can't really explain why it happens. I guess some guys just can't stand the anticipation... but I think it's one of the best things about a new relationship.
