so, are the md5's ok?

If you delete those two lines, you won't have any errors. The MD5 checker you are using is getting confused on them and thinks there should be two files ("summer" and "M" ) in the directory.

but is it ok to edit original shn's?

Mark, I got the same error and everything converts to WAV fine. I'm guessing that when the md5 was created "Summer" and "M" were in the same file.

so did you leave it or edit the md5?

If you paste the top two lines into another md5 and run it through MKW, it gives you the same error.

Also, a note that was uploaded to the newsgroup with the show:

I don't think the "must have been files summer and M in the directory" thing is right, but whatever.

"When you run the md5 for this show the following error will show up:

dmn2003-07-22.md5 contains checksums for 2 files(s) which are missing
or could not be opened:

summer

M

This does not affect any of the shn files (tracks) and there was no
trouble converting to wav.

summer and M must have been in the same folder when creating the md5.

I am not sure if the taper is going to redo the md5 and submit a new one.

It's not an "error", really ... just that the two comments that the program he used to create the md5 (MD5Summer (http://www.md5summer.org))
inserted break compatability with MKW.

I see no reason NOT to remove the comments, since that is all the taper will do if he releases a new MD5 file anyway.

Crumbo... Thanks for posting this show onto the NG.
I was at the show and was wondering when a tape would surface!
Do you happen to know of any other Tapers that may have been there?

This recording is not the best but I am grateful for it!

Some tracks seem that the bias may have been set to high.

What do you think of the show???

Thanks again!

According to Andy there were 2 other tapers at the show......and I have no idea if those tapers plan on releasing their tapes.
