the only way i think i could do it is with my tv tuner card, but the picture that comes out of that is never really good. plus i dont have a dvd burner, my roommate does. although i could transfer the files to him over the hub at 1mbps

I threw a USB NIC into my TiVo and I rip the vids to my computer into MPEG2 format - only thing is...when I play them w/ my DVD software on my computer its out of sync, so I dunno if its just the software botching up the playback or what. Oh yeah, and I get a thin snowy line at the very top of the video, which pisses me off to no end.

Maybe it's just my recent re-viewing of the first 2 episodes of season 1, but Richard Walsh seems very suspicious. I know he was "shot dead" in episode 2 (I never heard them remove the bodies and Jamie was the one Jack told to do it), but Jack owed him his life and was all in the know about the mole inside CTU. Just a thought about who may re-surface. Perhaps as I watch more episodes from season 1 I'll change my mind. My second guess is it's Rick b/c he just took off at the end of season 1. :lol

The first 10 seconds should blow anyone away as is. What a gorgeous shot of the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. Season 1 is so cool. Even the soundtrack in the first few episodes is brill. I love the use of Perry Ferrell's solo stuff in there.

If you've seen it that many times you'll notice that it was deflected through the five hole by a stick, as noted by Keifer in his commentary.

There were 3 endings filmed for Season 1.

1: Jack finds Teri, alive and not shot my Nina, and him, Kim, and Teri all walk out holding eachother. Fade to 12:00:00. (On Season 1 DVD - Special Features)

2. Nina shoots Teri, but Teri doesn't die. Jack finds her, and the Bauers reunite again.

3. Nina shoots Teri, and Teri dies in Jack's arms, pregnant with their second child. (Aired on TV.)

How....how goddamn sad is that last one that they aired. Unprecedented.

Yes you're absolutly right. Just pulled out season 1 this week-end. Didn;t watch any of it but now I do remember watching the alternates. Definitely chose the right ending in keeping with the sheer spirit of 24. Terrinly sad ending.

Just watched Seaon 2 episode 3. Man what a fucking brilliant episode. The music that plays during the scene when Wald's crew enters CTU is fantastic - and when Sara Gilbert talks about growing up in LA ans will all her friends die. Fantastic score.; especially with the 5.1 on. I am soooooooo looking forward to March 30th.

Oh hell yeah. I think the 6th channel is not discreet as the digital signal is in 5.1 but to be able to HDTV and 5.1 instead of regular tv. No decision. Wait the extra hour. :thumbsup

I think Fox should be petitioned to move American Idol to a Monday or Thursday to stop screwing around with the 24 season every year.
