Ftp Help!!!!

Ok im new to the ftp server thing. I downloaded bullet proof and set my time to 120. but i cant figure out exactly how to get to the servers. can anyone help please

assuming you're trying to use the servers here at ants...

where it says 'address', type the address of the server you want to connect to.
for instance, xxxxxx.antsmarching.org or xxxxxxx.dyndns.org

login is either 'fast' or 'slow', depending on what type of connection you have.

password is 'antsmarching'

port is '21'

hit connect, and that oughtta do it.

thanks guys, but when i did that it keeps saying, "connectioin timed out". so does it take awhile to log on or is there something wrong with the way i set it up

it's very possible that the server could just be full.

it even says on the list that the server is not full though, oh well i guess ill just keep trying. The very first time i tried to connect my retry time wasnt up to 120 seconds. But i changed it right away, do you think they will kick me off for that one try?

NOW, it keeps saying 530 Loggin Incorrect. What does that mean. Does anyone think it is worth this trouble to get onto these servers. Is it really that much faster than just downoading them off of boards.

connection timed out means the server is not up, the ftp server list is not up to date so just because a server is listed as up or not full, it isn't going to be accurate.

Incorrect login, most likely the server is just full but make sure you have the correct login info entered.

If you accidentally tried to login multiple times without waiting 120 seconds, the ftp server may have automatically "banned" you. If you think this might have happened, try emailing or PMing the siteop and explain the situation. You will need to know your IP address.
