May I ask, what is the problem with the server it has had a lot of downtime. I am not complaining, I am just wondering why it is down so often, where is it located, is it a real server? Is it running off a computer in a basement somewhere? Just wondering.

patience people...I'm a newbie and I'm not clamoring for it to get fixed. In the past I only dreamed of hearing my first show 7-12-03 again. Now, because of this, it can become a reality.

Good call. Just for you, I will turn the server back on.... yeah, some people really need to learn to be patient. Also, why ask "why is it down"? Are you gonna fix it? Besides that, the answer has already been stated in other threads. Ohh well, some people will never learn....

Really? I can't remember the last time I saw the 2003 server up although I have only been here about 2 months. the 1993-2002 server was up for about 2-3 weeks then it is down again. Is it just me?

He turned on the server just for me?!?!?!? Man this guy is top notch. Ya'll should shut your hole and know your role (sorry for the Rock quote but it needed to be said)

The 2003 server was up 2 weeks ago I think. The other server had only been down a couple days.
Try having 400 people hammering the computer in your basement and pump out 7Mb/s and let me know how it's doing.
Honestly, sometimes I don't even know why we try to keep things running smoothly and spend so much time working on the server, and our ftp servers, among other things, when there are so many selfish people, who like to whine about the services we try to provide the community.
Ohh well, doesn't surprise me.

Clearly you haven't been around long enough to see that with the exception of the past week or so, one of the two servers has been on 24-7.

i am getting it as well. i have come to the conclusion that the server is just really busy. i tried it with both that show and others from the 1990-2002 era and none will work, so it must be because it is overly loaded.

I just wanted to agree with some of the poster above about the services antsmarching provides. They are making it possible for you to get as many as 4 or more shows a day if you don't have anything else to do and you want to complain about the few times things aren't right I don't know if some of you guys are just impatient or ungrateful or whatever, but that's just wrong. Lighten up and listen to some of the things that you haven't heard in awhile. If you are downloading even one show a day there's no way you can be listening to all of your shows. Keep it up and pretty soon they'll be limiting us to one show a day or even worse one show a week like they do for the b&p requests.
Who am I to be saying all this? Nobody really. But it pisses me off to see all the greedy little fingers typing away to complain about the server. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, or at least don't bite the hand that feeds somebody else.
