Silly question: I know that D'Addario asks to send in the entire cardboard guitar string package with Player's Points orders, but does that include the plastic pouch inside? Thanks.

I think you just have to send the box, not the pouch... I haven't sent any of mine in yet... do you know where to send em to?

And in tracking down the mailing address, I found an e-mail address for Player's Points questions. I'll send them my question and see if they can provide a definitive answer.

I figured if I didn't need to send the plastic pouches in for recycling purposes, I could just take all the strings out of the boxes and send the points in now, instead of having to wait until I actually use all of the strings.

Customer Service said to send in the plastic corrosion protection pouches, too.

I use D'addario alot and I sent in some points for a shirt last year. I didn't send in the plasitc wrapper - just the boxes. I didn't have a problem, so I'd say its safe to throw away your plastic.

its 2 points per package.

i just found 17 packs of d'addarios upstairs. :) (unused too!) im gonna get the cups or the wallet.

Wait a second, so you can send in the plastic pouches for MORE points?

I've been saving since I started playing and I think I'm in the 180- 200 points range... I wanna get the stool and the cups. YEahhh....

It depends on the product. Phosphor Bronze strings are 3 points. EXP strings are 5. Strings for a 12 String guitar ar 7. Quick release strap thing is 1 point. Humidifier is 3 or 5.

It just depends.
