that's six teams from the Big XII. all this talk about the ACC and Big East, while the Big XII is getting overlooked. i like it. i would pull for Texas A & M to get in, but they play Kansas tomorrow if they beat K-State today, so i'll have be happy with six teams.:D

I could care less about Miami, but as someone who has been watching Big East basketball since the beginning I'm sorry that it has come to this. I like and respect Al Skinner as a coach and I know it's not his fault.

no means no is funny. having a huge poster of it is funny. when sheldon williams comes back having a huge poster of no STILL means no, also funny.

telling someone that you killed their grandfather, fucking disgusting. i dont care that chris hit hodge in the nuts, hell i mean if he would have tackled him and humped him on the ground, dook vitale would have screamed about the competetive nature of his play, oh wait thats just for JJ. funny, some people can do whatever they want because the media loves them.

Have you ever watched Vitale announce a Wake game? You would think Paul played for Duke by how far Vitale has it up in there. Its really not much different than JJ.

It's not like the whole stadium was chanting that in unison. My guess is that a few dumbasses behind the wake bench were saying it. I know I didn't hear anyone saying anything like that. The worst I heard from where I was at was "Boooo!," unless dirty deacons is worse than that ;)

03-11-2005, 10:25 AM
the few NC State fans that did that were out of line (and yes, it was few). But that doesn't excuse Chris Paul from being a piece of shit. what he did is one of the worst things you could possibly do to another man. the fact that Wake fans are running and hiding behind the response of fans to justify what their player did is ignorant. they won't say Paul was wrong, simply "state fans have no class." every college campus has fans like that. it just so happens that this small group of people was a group of white students sitting a few rows back of a black reporter for the Raleigh News And Observer. This guy has a history of writing articles that will stir up the race pot a little. Not saying that excuses the actions, but had Chris Paul been white, i doubt we would have even heard about this. It's not the whole arena, it was a few assholes that were sitting by someone who has the ability to get the word out to a lot of people in a hurry. so let's not generalize it like it's "all state fans." go back to your silly tie-dyed shirts and becoming Cameron wannabe's.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski called it "a great game, a very intense game" and praised UNC.

That intensity spilled into the stands as Krzyzewski, livid when he heard a Carolina fan yell to him on his way off the court at the end of the half, "You've got (official Larry) Rose in your pocket," had security eject the fan from the arena. The fan's name: Scott Williams, Roy Williams' son.

Watching this UNC game makes me realize why I love ACC bball so much. The bottom teams will never be intimidated by the top teams, and that just doesn't happen in a lot of conferences. Althought UNC is making quite a run right now less than 5 to go Clemson by 2 with the ball. UNC got a couple of big 3's.

OU did what they needed to do to win that game in the last four minutes. They didn't turn the ball over and hit their free throws. Meanwhile, Mizzou turned the ball over in a key situation and fouled a three-point shooter, big no-nos.

Memphis kid got fouled shooting a 3 with no time left on the clock and with Memphis down 2. Goes to the line with no time left on the clock with a chance to at least tie the game as well as win it. Knocked down the first free throw to bring them within one. Just has to make one of two to put it into o.t. Rimmed out both the second and third freethrows - Louisville wins 75-74.....DOH!!! :BANG

Knocked down the first free throw to bring them within one. Just has to make one of two to put it into o.t. Rimmed out both the second and third freethrows - Louisville wins 75-74.....DOH!!! :BANG

That poor kid. I just saw the highlights. I absolutely hate seeing that. I know its not much of a comparison, but I have been in simliar positions like that in High School basketball. I thought those were nerve wracking as hell. People can't even imagine how hard that would be.

That was one of the ugliest halves I've seen the Illini play all year. If they continue to turn the ball over like that, they'll be going no where fast.

They're lucky that Minnesota isn't capitalizing on turnovers very well, otherwise UI would be in a heap of trouble. How many times has Illinois passed it to nobody? 6?

This is two games in a row now where Dee Brown hasn't been a factor on either side of the ball, whereas the last 10 games of the year he literally dictated the outcomes of those games by himself. I'm beginning to wonder if he's healthy.

well my Hawks lost today. It sucks, but I'm not too worried. OSU is a great team, and we played really well. Lost by 1 to OSU WITHOUT Langford. I just can't wait till tourney time.

Always finding the silver lining in a loss. I'd rather them win the ACC and move out of an 8-9 seed at this point. :D

Not trying to pick a fight but I do find it amusing that the Illini can win and UNC can lose, but yet you say that the UNC loss hurts the Illini. I'd rather them win and move to a 6-7 seed and be on the other side of the bracket at this point.

id rather have illi out in the 3rd-4th round so unc can breeze in ;) plus if duke wins the acc tourney they could have that 4th #1 seed and it could be an acc-tri-fector. i hope to god ga tech shuts them down though
