Joah Tucker has 21 at half time. 39-32, so well w/in Milwaukee's striking distance, but Dee Brown has been damn good. Having watched 3 Wisconsin-Illinois games this year I am amazed that UW-M is even this close. I hope they are in it until the final moments even if they lose.

I don't know about that. I've seen a bunch of UWM games this year and they are good, and have been playing well for a while. I'd say there are about 10-12 teams in the Nation that I could say "yeah, they'll beat UWM" but after that it's 50-50. Unfortunately Illinois would be one of the top teams, along with UNC, Wake, OSU, Louisville...

:thumbsup I'm exactly the same. Overall, I was pretty pleased with tonight's games. I didn't really care either way who won any of the games. The only person I feel sorry for is Eddie Sutton. He's such a great coach and hopefully one day he will win a national championship. I also think that Okla. St. would match up better with Illinois, but oh well. Arizona will be Illinois' toughest opponent yet in the tournament, but I think they can handle it.

Easily one of the best games Ive ever witnessed in person.... I bet Ok St, but wasnt pissed at all after the game, mostly becuase I realized what I just witnessed. College basketball at its finest......

the atmosphere at Allstate Arena last night was incredible, especially during the Illini's romp. Talk about a home court advantage, I dont know that Salim will be able to handle that, matter of fact I'm not sure that there was anyone that could have beaten the Illini last night, the Panthers had upset on the mind, but the Illini answered back 3 times with every statement that no-name Joah Tucker made. The thing about the Big Ten is that they play a different style of ball there, more half-court, fundamental basketball, limit turnovers. Some don't like it, but it is Basketball at its purest form and very effective against teams not ready to play that style.

I hope you know that the biggest reason that anyone was talking crap about them was because of an arogant fan that couldn't hold any kind of intelligent converstion about their own team or about college basketball in general. When someone that hadn't been here at all through the season starts throwing around thing like calling Illinois over rated, UNC tarholes, and Duke puke. They have what was coming to them. You have been here long enough to know that we in this thread are a knowledgeable community that does not usually stoop to the level that we were every once in a while sucked into being.

There are two reasons I'm congratulating you on: 1) You are still standing (I think this years tourney says a lot about the atmosphere and parity evolving in college basketball) 2) Because you're an ACC team I am now rooting for you (that burned to type). It's a really strange feeling right now because I don't hurt this year as I have in past years. I think it's because 1) Duke wasn't supposed to be good enough to get this far this season (even though I always believed that they could go as far as their bodies would phsically take them; you got admit those boys have got to be hurting by now) and 2) because I had to work I didn't get to watch the game (ouch that burned too).
