how can vitale sit there during the game and criticize people for saying that the refs ive duke preferential treatment and at the same time continually criticize the refs for doing a horrible job for calling phantom fouls against teams playing duke? this is the second game in a row hes done it, and he did it multiple times this game. im not saying that it would have made a big difference in this game, but you never know, and thats the point.

anyways, i guess go BC!

I am so sick of Jay Bilas saying Texas A&M is out. I think the world of Bilas, but come on! How could anyone consider putting Hofstra or Missouri St. in and leave A&M out?

thank you. Bilas can suck a nut. I missed the game today 'cause I was at a wedding, but we only lost by 4 today to a team with 2 players who could go pro right now. A&M is a good team and will put up a good showing in the tourny.

If A&M is a 12, they will be my pick to beat a 5, no matter who that 5 is. They are built to make some noise...good guard, dominating big man and a tough defensive team.

they beat Texas two weeks ago and took them to the wire again today. Texas A&M could probably win the MVC. that shit is really starting to piss me off. if your RPI starts high, and all you do is play each other all season, it can't really drop at that point. RPI is the single most overrated stat in bracket projecting.

Duke hasn't looked good lately, but the second half against Wake was as close as I've seen to mid-season form. Hard to bet against them in March.

it also puts more importance on a road win vs a road win, and of coarse, the top teams in that conference split the season series 1-1 with each other, with their wins coming at home.

That's such a tough matchup. I agree that whoever wins will be in the Final Four. As for IU, I can't believe how far some people have them going. The team has continued to disappoint me all year, and I refuse to put them in my Elite 8. I'll admit they have the talent to do it, but I don't see it happening.

You are right on. I can maybe, maybe, see UCLA sneaking through, especially if they got a matchup with Gonzaga in the 16.

I don't know why I like Indiana so much. I guess it is the Mike Davis factor, coupled with the fact they are playing some overrated and weaker teams.

3 big east teams? probably not going to happen.

Marquette just isn't good enough.

'Nova's going to have some trouble if cyclops isn't able to play at 100%.

i agree with UConn and Duke, just not the outcome.

I have a feeling people are getting carried away with BC (including myself). I've watched them several times this season, and honestly, I don't think they're that talented. They basically play prison ball. They're big and they'll knock you around a LOT (I'm just glad Tyler Hansbrough isn't out for the tournament after their game against BC Saturday), but a team with a good inside defender and strong outside shooting will beat them every time. People seem to be picking BC based on the fact that they beat UNC when UNC was playing like shit, and they almost beat Duke yesterday... but who hasn't almost beaten Duke lately? In the past three weeks, they've beaten Virginia Tech by 2, NC State by 2, and lost to Virginia by 14. I just don't think they're that good, but everyone seems to be picking them. There's no way they're better than Nova, but I guess we'll see.

Why have 5 different brackets? Just make a pick and stick with it. 15 years ago, when I was 13 I used to do that, but that was because I wanted to get every game right. There is nothing like watching two games and having all 4 teams advancing.

I don't understand how they could have been. They played one of the top 5 schedules in the county. They split the regular season series with us, and the game in NY was close. They could have won it and we would be sitting at home instead of gearing up to play the Aggies.

LSU can't handle the rock. We average 9.2 steals a game (good enough for 22nd in D-I).

The thing that really kills us are teams that shoot well from the outside. They really aren't that amazing of an outside shooting team.

I want Indiana in the Elite 8, but if I went with UCLA over Bama, I would have them playing Kansas.

I know BC and Kansas are trendy final four picks, but I watched BC against UNC and Duke, not to mention a few here and there throughout the year, and I think they are the real deal. All KU is, is a young, talented, but very hot team.

i thought about that, but i just don't know if arkansas (or bucknell, depending on who you picked) can beat them. granted, they're the worst #1 seed, but they're still a damn good team. i think they'll be there. i don't know what to do about nova. i know they're tough, but with ray possibly out, definitely not 100%, i don't know if they can pull through. granted, i'm probably a little biased, but if zona is playing to their potential, they're going to be tough for anyone to handle. my head says no, but my heart wants me to put zona in the sweet 16.

I have Memphis heading to the Final Four. Before I saw the bracket, I thought to myself, "They'll probably go out in the 2nd or 3rd round." But I just don't see any team in that bracket stopping them.

I was planning on picking them to take down someone, but then they matched them up against Arkansas, who I also thought would pull off some upsets. But not against Memphis.

but the more important question is who will win the pitt/kansas matchup. anyone? i have kansas, but i'm not confident. but i think kent st. is going to be a handful for pitt, so they may not even make it to play kansas. i'm so confused right now.

Right now I have the Zags beating Pitt in the regional final. I'd love to go with Pitt all the way but that would mean I would put 3 big east teams in the final 4 and I'm kinda hesitant to do that. Oh yeah, the zags are pretty good too.

Not using my bias in this at all, but I think that Kansas will roll Pitt. Watching Pittsburgh everyday during the Big East tournament, they did not impress me all too much. Krauser has his moments, but with the way Robinson and Chalmers are playing right now on both sides of the ball, that's an awful lot to ask out of hiim, especially when he has a knack to turn the ball over a lot anyways. Aaron Gray is a poor man's Brad Buckman, which is all that needs to be said about his skill.

This region has ll the potential in the world and will be impossible to work out correctly, that being said, some of the youngest and most athletic teams are in this region and all the games shoudl be great entertainment. I believe Memphis/Kansas matchup has potential to be the best game of the tournament, with the winner taking the region.

Watching pitt get to the big east final, the toughest league in america, and losing to the hottest team in america didn't impress you all that much?

Did you watch the Big East tourney?? They gave up a 28 point lead to Louisville and beat a badly wounded Villanova team. No, they are not impressive.

i wish i was that confident. i think they have a very good shot, but they could just as easily be beat. if they win that game though, i feel pretty good about their road to the Final Four after that.

Pitt beat Louisville, West Virginia, and Villanova in a three day period. That's pretty impressive. Sure they blew the lead to Louisville, but it was pretty impressive that they were up that much to begin with. And I'm sure Villanova is still pretty good team without Allan Ray.

I know BC and Kansas are trendy final four picks, but I watched BC against UNC and Duke, not to mention a few here and there throughout the year, and I think they are the real deal. All KU is, is a young, talented, but very hot team.

i think KU is the trendy pick because of their draw. they are definately in the easiest bracket. they wouldn't be being picked if they were in any of the other three regions.

i dont know, i hate that part of the bracket. i dont trust any of the top 5 seeds to make it to the final four. i dont think memphis is tough enough. i think ucla is somewhat overrated, although i love farmar. gonzaga is a perenial letdown now that theyre expected to do well. kansas is too young. andi have pitt getting upset in the first round. but i dont see indiana or marquette making it, so i dont know. i think that region is the key to winning the whole bracket. well that and gtown making it to the final four.

i'm not sure about that. early in the year i would have agreed, but now they're basically sophomores and juniors. that's not all that young by today's standards. Syracuse in '03 had McNamara, Warrick, and Carmello as freshmen. worked out alright for them against a very experience Kansas team. the thing that's tough about young teams is you don't really know what you're going to get until it happens.

yeah but youre biased. i mean, yeah everyone says theyre like sophs now but theyve never played in the tourney. look at duke for example, mcroberts right now is a higher draft pick than sheldon, but paulus is still crappy. you cant say a whole team is too young, but overall, theres always at least one guy who wont handle the pressure. and as for cuse example, melo is obviously the exception not the rule.

i am biased. i've also watched them play a lot this year. as far as melo being the exception to the rule..... he didn't have a great game. McNamara's six three pointers were the difference in that game.
