if Durant were to have a bad tournament and questions were to come up about his ankle and his stock dropped a little, that's a scenario that could possibly bring him back for another year. besides, all indications are that he's really enjoying the college life right now so you never know....

I had this convo with Royce about AP. When you are projected as a high pick like Durant is, you'd be stupid to pass it up. When you have that much money thrown at you, its time to make your basketball a business and not just "for fun." Actually, if there was one guy out of the two that I'd like to see stay for another year is Oden. I think Durant is primed and ready for the the NBA but Oden is someone who is good already but I think can improve even more with another year in college.

The UMass loss to St. Louis has really got me down, for a lot of reasons. First of all, I thought that if they made it to the A-10 Final, and lost to Xavier, they would be worthy of an at-large. I still believe that the Minutemen are a tournament-caliber team, but they won't get in. They didn't do what the comittee asks :shrug

Now, my selfish reason for being pissed off about the UMass loss? Well, Xavier of course. The X-Men are 1-3 vs. St. Louis over the last two seasons. We did win the last meeting by 19 points, so maybe that gets the :monkey off our back. But St. Louis is a VERY scary team, if we have to meet them in the A-10 Final.

Oh Goodness. Where next? I guess the hated ACC....

Duke. This is so exciting to me. I hate Duke. Now as I said to my father, if Duke gets a 7 or better in the tournament, you can start crying foul. I'm really interested to see what the committee does to them.
