Why, when I record, does it do so that when I play the mp3 it plays the guitar out of the left speaker and vocals out of the right?

My setup is:
guitar -> audiobuddy -> audiohijack (apple recording device)

it did the same thing for my pc when my setup was:

guitar -> audiobuddy -> cool edit

any thought? suggestions?

what's audiobuddy? If it's a type of soundboard (hardware) make sure you don't have the pan for the guitar and vocals split in the different directions.

couldn't you just make each track mono, then make them stereo as a temporary solution? that should work....

i think on cool edit you can copy the left channel audio and put it on the right channel and the other way around for your vocals. That seems like a temporary solution.
