If you find yourself on this list, please send a PM to the person who posted you to discuss it. After the conflict has been resolved the "poster" can send a PM to James and I will remove the "postee".

This is not a discussion thread, just post the information you feel neccessary to get your point across. No debating will be allowed in this thread.

James Dorsey of Delaware(JimiThing3403@ aol.com ) is a bad trader. In early January we set up a six disc trade. We agreed on a send date and three days later he emails me back telling me he got my part of the trade but has no idea what he was suppposed to send. Fine I give him the info and he agrees on send date #2. Well since then he has had excuse after excuse and the total send dates he has agreed to is 4. He has asked for my address three times and what shows I wanted three times. The last time he said he sent his discs because his burner was not working, and asked if i could burn the shows and send them back, that was a week and a half ago. Since then he has not responded to anuy of my emails or emailed me to see if I had recieved his discs. So beware of this prick nd do not let him screw you guys over.

He told me that he got the ones I sent and then even when I sent him emails asking where my shows were, he would tell me that he would send them and he's been busy lately. I hope no one trades with this guy and that no one else has been screwed by him!

Bad trader: ERIC ROPER

This guy screwed me out of a B+P. He made a B+P offer on one of the boards several months ago for 10-15 people, maybe more. I posted and got in on the offer. I sent my discs to him the next day. After about a month, I sent an e-mail asking when he expected to get the show back to me. He said he was waiting to finish burning all the B+Ps so he could mail them all at once (as if it's hard to just seal a bubble mailer and drop it in a mailbox). That was the last I heard from him. I e-mailed several times after that over a couple of months with absolutely no reply. I even just asked him to at least just send my blanks back -- nothing. I'm guessing that everyone else that sent him B+P package for this offer was also screwed.

Ashley Burns (a lot of you probably trade with her) can back me up on this one.

Ace Rockola is a BAD TRADER....I was new to the whole trading scene and we set up a 14 disc trade. He received the package I sent and then all the excuses began. It has been way too long since the trade for me to have any hope of receiving his package. He now ignores all instant messages as well as emails.

this goes back over a year ago but I am still a bit bitter about my first bad trade being someone who came off so nice.. especially when after a few weeks i questioned her instead of admiting it she accused me of not sending mine. Not to mention after a long time i saw her post again and when i said something to her instead of trying to make it right she pointed me toward a post that explained why she had been late or non existent on so many peoples trades.

I believe his name is Brian Pearlman of Texas. He agreed to do a B&P for me of the Best of 1999 Compilation which is 6 discs! This was back in October of 2001. Needless to say I have still not received it and he only answered one of my emails saying he was at school and couldn't do it. That was also in November. Since then, no response. He goes by bpearlman on the boards and his email is dmb2step@angelfire.com. Hate to do this, but I am kinda bitter about being out 6 discs.

I hate to mention it, but Bryan Edstrom from St Paul MN. got me for 6 discs. We were supposed to send on Jan. 20th and I did. He got the shows I sent, but claimed that his computer crashed. So after waiting a while, he emailed me on Feb 12, saying that he finally sent. After a while went by w/nothing in the mail, I emailed him saying that I would'nt report him as a bad trader if he would just admit that he never sent so I would'nt have to keep checking the mail at my parents house (where I have my trades sent). Anyways, I never heard another word from him.
I don't think he intended to rip me off, but he did.

Evan Altshuler from Florida is a bad trader(ThreeNineLine@aol.com). We had a VHS trade and he screwed me over. I even sent first because he was a little busy at the time. After numerous emails he finally replied and had the nerve to blame 9/11 as the reason he could not send. He used to be on the boards (ThreNineLine).

Valerie Nolan from New Jersey is also a bad trader(Trinity728000@aol.com). We had a VHS trade and she nevered bothered to send. After monthes of emails she finally responded, saying she moved. I gave her my address again, but she still never sent.

This guy is a deadbeat! I had to plead with the guy, as it took me 3 emails before I got one reply, only asking if he got my discs or not. I wasn't asking him to speed up the process. Then he replies telling me the B&P rules. I have been doing this for quite awhile now, I did not need a lecture. He mentioned that very day (2 weeks ago) that he was sending the discs that day to me. I have since sent 2 emails asking if they were sent....NUTHIN!!!

well apparently i am not the only one who feels this way. another person (undisclosed name) on the b&p has also not gotten his discs. all i asked of him was to give me a confirmation that the discs were received and another when they were sent. the link to his website is out-of-date as well, which is supposed to keep track of peoples discs status. because of that, the original email stated to email him with any questions. i did that over and over and got no response. it has been a month since i sent my discs.

I dont know the situation at all, BUT School is a hell of alot more important than a B+P Donald is not a deadbeat, maybe its taking a while, but so be it.

Made a trade with him back in the middle of May. It was an online trade (using my server) I set him up with the two shows that he wanted. Everytime I asked about him uploading the two shows to me he kept giving me a run around about how he didn't have them and all.

I emailed him a ton as well as IMing him, but he hasn't been online in a while and hasn't replied to most of my emails.

Be careful with this guy.

I'm sure a lot of people may be aware of what happened with this person, but for those of you who aren't...

Ashley posted back in August, offering b&ps of the DMB TWDA 11-disc compilation. Somewhere around 10 - 15 people signed up, maybe more...and sent discs (that's 110+ discs). In addition, Ashley set up multiple small, medium, and large trades.

It's been nearly 3 months, and no one has anything. Ashley posted something about a family illness, but as it turns out, that seems to just be a cover up. I estimate somewhere near 200 (or more) discs, some blank, some w/ shows, found their way into Ashley's hands.

I'm not sure of the address, but it's a PO Box in Massachusetts.

Donald Van Slyke is an excellent trader, and just because he's doing you a FREE FAVOR doen't give you the right to rip him on the boards when he "takes too long" to do something nice for you.

Try being a little more appreciative when someone does something to help you . . . so he doesn't reply to B&P emails . . . big fucking deal, as long as you get FREE shows back in the mail within 2 or 3 weeks what does it matter? If you send out a B&P and you haven't gotten the discs back in a month, then it's time to start asking questions. Posting him as a bad trader for not doing a B&P fast enough for you? Grow Up.

I have been trading for quite some time now, and only got burned once. I sent Don Borders (dmbcdn),who is a highly rated trader, 12 blanks to him in Ontario and cash for the return Canadian postage in February. I sent him an email in April just to let him know I hadn't recieved the shows, and he replied stating that he had just finished them and was going to throw in a freebie because it took so long. It is now June and I have yet to recieve anything, and he no longer returns me email. He seemed like a nice guy and everyone I have talked to backed that up but I have learned to lesson.
Other than that one everybody body I have dealt with has been very kind and helpful. Thanks to those who give us DMB fans a good rep.

Anyone that says they don;t check their e-mails over a period of more than a week because of finals is full of it. You always check your e-mails. It does only take a few seconds to reply "busy - will e-mail you in 2-3 weeks" and that's all people need. If I was offering a b&p I would expect whomever I was giving it to to be okay with this e-mail. It took me all of 5 seconds to type. The b&p takes 10 minutes. In 2-3 weeks I'll have the time it takes to get your b&p ready but at least you know what I'm doing. Right? He took about 2 months to send my side of a 4 DVD trade back with 2 DVDs, none of which were part of the trade. He even said in an eventual e-mail that he threw an extra show in when he finally sent it to me. The 2 discs that he sent me were either incomplete or didn't work. When I asked him where my other two discs were and why nothing I received was part of the agreement, he said, "I'm sorry you had higher expectations" and I never heard from him again.

This probably wouldn't piss me off so bad if it weren't a DVD trade...especially one that I waited so long for.

So anyway, don't trade with Matt Cochran.

I don't want to beat a dead horse and I should have provided the link to the thread. Story short John joined a DVD loop was the last person in the loop kept all the discs sent to him and never responded to multiple requests to send out the discs or to return them. My aplogies to Joe (moderator) who I am sure wishes this subject would die. My earlier post was at the same time I was responding to questions about trading with J.

I'm new at this and I've only asked for one B&P. Dan Berdel in Camp Hill, PA hooked me up real quick so I added him to the good trader list. I've since downloaded all the shows I've been to (5 total) and have offered all of them up as B&P's. I'm in the middle of about 20 of them for the 10/1/04 show @ State College. The one thing I do is let everyone know in the intital B&P email that I work some long hours and it may be a few weeks before I can get the show sent out. I use a PO Box and go to work @ 7 am (post office closed) and get off @ 6 pm (post office closed). I can only pick the B&P's up on Saturdays but I make sure to get them out by Monday if at all possible. I think that by stating right off the bat the long hours I work makes everyone much more patient. I will also say that no one has asked how long it would be before I would send out the discs. That is cool. I cannot imagine not fulfilling a B&P and find it amazing that anyone wouldn't. Thanks to all who have requested shows from me and I hope to help out anybody else who would like one of the shows I have. If that is you reading this post, I hope to hear from you soon... Allen

When I attempted to contact him, he'd either ignore my e-mail or reply apologizing and swearing that he'd send them as soon as possible. It wasn't until I sent an e-mail until the other members involved in the offer that I got any response from him. In that e-mail he stated that he wouldn't hurt any fans and assured us that he just got super busy, which is totally understandable, and the shows would be on the way soon. This was in December. I was going through my inbox today cleaning out old e-mails and came across his last one. So, I decided to write him thanking him for screwing me over and letting him know that I was posting this here. At the time I had no intention of posting this, but thought it may get me a response from him. His response was "Cool. Thanks. Hope you're having a great day". This pissed me off, and thus I am posting here. I can't bitch too much, because at worst, I'm out a few bucks and 6 cd's. However, it's the principle. I don't like to be fucked over, nobody does. So, I'd advise you not to trade with this guy or take him up on any b&p offers. He's truly a douche bag.

Wow - don't think I've ever seen anyone use their first post to put someone on the Bad Trader list. So this person made a mistake but sent you money to cover it? Doesn't sound like a Bad Trader to me! I'd say that 1 out of every 3 people that sign up for a b&p won't end up sending a package to you at all. It's just par for the course - I wouldn't get too bent out of shape about one mistake, especially if she more than tried to make up for it.

There was this guy about two months ago by the name of "Stu" (he's from NJ, too) that kept bugging me about his B&Ps. I burned him about four shows and sent them out in a matter of three days or so. For about two months straight he would send me emails telling me he never got them and that he's going to report me, blah, blah, blah. Perhaps he was telling the truth. Maybe he didn't get them, but maybe he's full of shit, too, and kept bugging me so that I'd send him more shows out of my pocket, which I refuse to do. If you send me a package and you don't give me the means to allow you to track the package once it's in the mail...well that's your own damn fault. It is difficult for both parties, though, because you don't know if someone is bullshitting you.

I sent him a PM over 2 weeks ago he said that he would burn them over the weekend and that he was busy and sick for a week. well 2 weeks later....nothing. i got shafted and im kinda bitter about it. i really just want those shows!!! so chad enjoy your 12 discs :violent

Yeah that sounds like what I'm doing now. I sent 8 discs out to this guy 2 months ago. He's told me 3 times that they were in the mail and then later when I tell him I haven't received them he makes up an excuse as to why they didn't go out yet. A week ago was the last time he said they were in the mail so we'll see but I'm not holding my breath.

Okay so it's official. I am now adding Josh Fadden - kutke187 (http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/member.php?u=24775) to the bad trader list. We set up a trade for 8 discs on 8-24-05. I burned his and had them out immediately.

He told me the first time that my discs where in the mail on 9-2 after I had to email him to ask about them. Then on 9-15 I emailed telling him they had still not arrived. He said he would burn them again and send them out. On 9-26 I emailed him again asking if he had sent them out. He said no but that he would right away. On 10-2, he emailed me and said they were going out first class the next day. On 10-15 I emailed him saying I still hadn't received them, he came back with a family emergency and promised they would go out that following Monday. I emailed him again on 10-24 asking if they were sent out. No response. I emailed him last night in a final attempt to contact him before adding him to the bad trader list, his email address (jfadden@epix.net) is now bouncing. :thumbsdow

I don't get it. This guy chatted me up on AIM constantly, even exchanging phone numbers right before Red Rocks and again talking about the winter tour and what dates we would attend. It's a real disappointment that my first bad trade went down like this.

OK, I'm all with you with this JOSH FADDEN. I was also waiting to add his name, so now it's the perfect time.

We set a trade back on Sunday, July 10, 2005 10:01 PM, and after so many emails (I still have them all), telling me many reasons; burner problem, cpu, that he sent the discs, even telling me that he will re-burn the discs and send them to me (oct 03,2005) to set things right, but it never happened.

I also realized that is email address (jfadden@epix.net) stop working, so I tried to PM "kutke187" him, but you can imagine that I never get news.

So I have to agree with all you said, let me know if you have a reply.

Yeah, I don't know what the deal was. I think it was a case of him biting off more than he could chew. The offer was for 2 shows each to 10 people and I think he just got really busy, like he said. However, that is understandable. Anyone that offers up a b&p is cool enough to take some of their own time out to provide shows to others. But, at the same time, if you are offering up a b&p, you should be prepared to follow through -- even if it takes some time. I was totally willing to be patient and wait. I get busy too.

What pissed me off was the lies and lack of communication. When I contacted him several weeks after I sent him the discs, he first said that he just mailed them. I waited 3 weeks without receiving anything. I then e-mailed him again and he ignored my e-mails completely before finally stating that they would be on their way soon. I never got the shows and never heard from him again.

Hey I might have been a little WILD last time i posted! Im normally not like that but ive also never been screwed over on a trade! MIKE HICK was someone I set a trade up with over a month ago! He recieved my package on November the 4th. I emailed him and asked if he had recieved it on the 6th of November.. He replied back and said.. Yeah, i sure did thanks alot!! that is all he said!! I have sent over 15 emails since then with NO response!! I was hoping somone might be able to tell me if anyone has ever dealt with him!! The trade was for 45-50 discs! Which to me is a lot becasue I don't really have to much funds being in college and all!!

just to let you know, i just completed a trade with Stu from NJ, and it went off great. he e-mailed me asking for a b+p originally but we ended setting up a decent sized dvd trade and his package was here right on time quality discs and shows and he even threw in extra blanks for responding to his original e-mail. i don't know what happened in your case but from my 1 dealing with stu from nj i would say he didn't get the discs because i would trade with him again in a heartbeat. just had to say that about stu from nj!

He may be out of town on business, etc.

I think you may be out of line here. Expecting him to burn 45-50 disks for you in two weeks is unreasonable. The guy probably has a job or attends classes. You can't expect him to sit at home burning disks for you non-stop and all day long.

Set up a 12 disc b&p for red rocks sent my stuff out 9/16 and still havent recieved them back. I sent him a PM over 2 weeks ago he said that he would burn them over the weekend and that he was busy and sick for a week. well 2 weeks later....nothing. i got shafted and im kinda bitter about it. i really just want those shows!!! so chad enjoy your 12 discs :violent

I am so thankful that I checked this thread.... because I wanted your board names to let you know that I was in process of buying property and a house and that your discs were in the moving confusion, and I have yours and 2 others' for the same B&P, the house-moving process was brought on very suddenly under not so fun circumstances, I hope you and the other 2 understand a very surreal situation, but whatever their board names are I don't but I have the discs and your postage all intact and well, and I will have your discs in the mail Monday morning... again, I apologize and hope this makes things right..... as a matter of fact, I am gonna send you each a freebie. well, i don't wanna put this person's name up yet.....
but, we had set up a dual b&p/trade. he sent me 35 discs, and i sent him 18, i burned him jack johnson shows, and he was supposed to burn me dave shows.
i sent my discs out to him on 9-24-05. his shows have been burned for a few days, however, i'd like to know what all of you would do. do i hold his discs until i get mine, or send his out, and hope that i get mine, which were supposedly sent out 2 weeks ago?

In exchange he offered a DVD from his list. We agreed to terms and I sent out the ticket stub, and he said the DVD was in the mail...and that was 3 weeks ago. If it turns out he's a good guy then I am really sorry, but a simple e-mail saying you are busy would be nice. Don't lie about it and say it is on it's way when I have yet to receive anything. Anyone know this trader?

Has anyone ever had problems with Wildmoose31? He asked me for a trade last january, he got his disks within 2 weeks. I have heard every excuse from him all the way through redrocks weekend. He took them down but only because Titleist called him on it and he gave some big lame story about his cousin doing it yet he's not ending any of the other auctions.

Okay so it's official. I am now adding Josh Fadden - kutke187 (http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/member.php?u=24775) to the bad trader list. We set up a trade for 8 discs on 8-24-05. I burned his and had them out immediately.

He told me the first time that my discs where in the mail on 9-2 after I had to email him to ask about them. Then on 9-15 I emailed telling him they had still not arrived. He said he would burn them again and send them out. On 9-26 I emailed him again asking if he had sent them out. He said no but that he would right away. On 10-2, he emailed me and said they were going out first class the next day. On 10-15 I emailed him saying I still hadn't received them, he came back with a family emergency and promised they would go out that following Monday. I emailed him again on 10-24 asking if they were sent out. No response. I emailed him last night in a final attempt to contact him before adding him to the bad trader list, his email address (jfadden@epix.net) is now bouncing. :thumbsdow

I don't get it. This guy chatted me up on AIM constantly, even exchanging phone numbers right before Red Rocks and again talking about the winter tour and what dates we would attend. It's a real disappointment that my first bad trade went down like this.
