if it's not a jpg- i save it as one- open it with paint [comes with windows] and draw it in myself with the provided red/white. much easier than resizing and pasting everytime. plus there's no tilt feature in paint- so i can tilt it myself if i do it myself.

bend in the hat: double click on the bright red i use in paint for it, brings up a 'define custom colors' window. click the tab at the bottom- then there's a gradient of red on the right- i pick 3 or 4 down [yes a darker red] and go back and draw in a line to help the eye differentiate.

small outline is done with the pre-assigned light grey next to the black and white [the one on the bottom] only necessary when the avatar's background is comletely white.
